For anyone wondering about the original issue of this post, I managed to disassemble the X6 Pro in the end. I had to use more determined moves when going round to take off the back cover. Initially I was a bit afraid that I will break something.

I no longer have the Teclast X6 Pro, but the touchscreen worked quite well for me. I used openSuse tumbleweed and Fedora 34 on this tablet. It has been a nice experience, the screen was amazing, I will miss that. But I needed more power, more memory, so I sold it and decided on a linux laptop instead.

I am considering buying (any) 2-in-1 laptop to use with Ubuntu.

Would you recommend buying a Teclast X6 Pro? As I’d especially use it for online teaching (MsTeams + Openboard), it is important that the touchscreen works correctly, and the capacitive pen does not display any significant delay.

There seem to be two things you need to solve the problem.

1., Using the original “KMDF HID Minidriver for Touch I2C Device” driver,
2. and copy “SileadTouch.fw” to the “C:WindowsSystem32Drivers” folder.

After some more tests I found out that the USB-C port of the notebook isn’t working. I already did some measurements and found that the RTS5450 IC which controls the port seems to be at least partially broken. it is all about new intel graphic driver.

I’m search the older version I used to fix it (or…reflash but don’t update intel graphic drivers!).

It works VERY welll even with window11, but I try updating the intel graphic drivers thinking about a fix and now I have the “specular touch” mess.
