Anyways as of now I really discourage any one to get these: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-5000-mah-lithium-battery-3-7-v-approx-8-inches-Sanei-N83-N86-AMPE/955308174.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.3b2e4c4d9oFULd
I have ordered these:
[L463] 3.7V 8100mAh [4812080] PLIB (polymer lithium ion battery ) for tablet pc;power bank;e-book;CELL PHONE
https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/b4vQYvDfI hope they’ll end up being better than the original ones.
Battery Bar on my Ezbook says the batteries discharge at a rate of ~10mA (not sure if this is the correct measuring unit, though…) and they currently last around 4.5 hours which is not that bad. I’d love it to reach 7-8 hours…
October 7, 2018 at 6:40 pm #147509hello sorry the bad, but I had your same problem just that the battery is swollen and for fear I disassembled and thrown but now I’m seeing this your project and I would do it too, but I miss the male plug that you can not Find it anywhere, do you know what it’s called? and therefore the protection circuit of two batteries must have specifics?
October 17, 2018 at 6:14 pm #147677So its been a few weeks since i posted, but ive managed to contact gearbest about the battery and finally got a reply today.
They want to send me a replacement battery but im thinking its going to be the same as the one already in.
Do you guys think i should accept their offer of a battery or ask for a refund as ive already purchased one from ali express that still hasnt arrived yet on the slow boat from china.
October 17, 2018 at 6:19 pm #147679A me anche mi hanno risposto e ho preferito ricevere la batteria, può darsi avrà lo stesso difetto ma almeno è originale. Comunque ho comprato anche tutti i pezzi per la batteria fai da te!
October 18, 2018 at 1:57 pm #147687I’ve just received the batteries from China. Just two weeks to reach Italy. I’d say it’s been very very fast!

I was prepared to wait for a couple of months, considering other people’s experiences.
If this helps, I chose the order to be shipped by Registered Air Mail, and the package was sent via Netherlands Post (PostNL)
October 19, 2018 at 10:00 am #147699Yeah can’t remember if it was registered or not.
But recently i’ve received a mail from them, changing this rule: 1. If your order does not arrive…..you can apply for a refund by opening a dispute. And it changed from 11-01 to 12-01.
Anyway, ill post an update when i install them…
October 19, 2018 at 10:35 am #147700That’s better for you, because now you have more time to open a dispute.
The seller is serious (if you bought from the same seller euplio suggested) so you will probably receive the batteries later on. There are a lot of restrictions on the transportation of batteries, so I guess the speed of my shipment is an exception, not the rule. Just be patient!
October 19, 2018 at 1:34 pm #147703Just FYI for you all…
I’ve ordered batteries from this seller multiple times. The batteries are Chinese but the seller is very reliable and I haven’t had any of his batteries crap out on me.

Oh great! He sent me a message that the parcel returned back to him…Damn it! I’ll re-order again..
And no stock of the Japan Cell at the moment…. Only these: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/L552-3-7V-6000mAH-4212078-PLIB-Polymer-lithium-ion-Li-ion-battery-LG-cell-for/32531318879.html
This is so great…..
October 25, 2018 at 12:37 pm #147754Yeah, no Japan cells available, as of late. 🙁
I ordered these:
October 30, 2018 at 2:07 am #147803cardoso ignore the white just cover them with tape walter there might be a problem your batteries have charging controllers and you soldered them to the main charging controller. that might not work. if it does not work, you have to bypass either the battery controller or the main controller and connect directly to the red and black cables what go to the jumper.
I was curious about that but was leery of messing with the batteries without them so I did it the way I did. Like I said, I have no experience with this stuff and I didn’t want to start a fire or something. lol It got late last night so I didn’t have a chance to test it out yet, although the charging light did turn green and I unplugged it just before bed. I have to wait until I get home from work tonight to test it out. If it doesn’t work I’ll open it back up again and remove the ones from the batteries. UPDATE: Booted up and is working great. It’s the first time in months I’ve been able to use it without it being plugged in. The Windows battery meter in the taskbar is only reading 78% and telling me I only have an hour and 38 minutes left but I don’t think it’s correct.
I bought similar batteries (each with charging controllers), can I just solder the wires without bypassing the controllers? Thanks.
