Same problem. I removed the battery as I think it is what is causing this. Unfortunately now it goes up to the Windows 10 screen and immediately shuts down (on AC power). I am unsure if I should get a new battery or if the laptop is dead. If it will only reach up to the W10 welcome screen and shuts down, it could be it needs more power than the AC is giving it, so maybe a new battery is worth it, but it could be a dead laptop. Did you solve your issue with a new battery?
January 15, 2020 at 10:35 am #182488Without soldering skills, I guess I’m left with a laptop that only works when plugged in 🙁
January 15, 2020 at 10:27 am #182487How do you clone the drive including hidden files?

January 25, 2019 at 9:26 am #150227I’m still gating above averaged battery power by just changing the BIOS to restaur originals. If It workd on more poeple then this is indeed Great!!
January 24, 2019 at 7:08 am #150203You’re right, I should look before I post.
Now… For the miracle. I was messing around the BIOS for a while to install Linux. After the failure, last night I restored default setting in the BIOS.
The result? The battery now is doing about 5 hours!!
I hope this can help others.

November 19, 2018 at 10:29 pm #148264my thinker has been the best laptop I’ve bought out of China, and I’ve bought a few.
The keyboard works fine so far, not a single problem. I did upgrade Windows 10 home to pro, but I doubt that had anything to do with the keyboard functioning fine. Now if the keyboard had backlighting…..It would be a killer.
BTW, other than the gorgeous screen, it’s quite fast as well.
November 19, 2018 at 10:14 pm #148263That’s amazing I hadn’t noticed it before as I used is almost always off charging.
But you are correct, the touchpad misbehaves If it’s charging! Thanks for the feedback.
August 6, 2018 at 12:30 pm #145222No, it uses a mouse driver for the touchpad. It doesnt use MS precision touchpad drivers.
July 25, 2018 at 5:29 pm #144782Thanks!
July 20, 2018 at 8:44 am #144638Thanks. It does have the little door. I already installed an SSD. The thing is, in the BIOS, I don’t have the option to change the W of the CPU, but in Chris’s review, the BIOS allowed him to do that (in the v4 video).
July 12, 2018 at 1:41 pm #144481Thanks for the reply Chris. Yes, I was shocked when I saw it was just the box used as protection with nothing else.
I’m looking for cracks and I’m worried about what might be wrong with it for traveling unprotected. The box was also opened and English Win 10 installed. I would have preferred to install it myself, but I guess they thought it was easier to ship it pre installed. Thinking of doing a Win 10 pro install with a Win 10 Pro key from ebay but worried about the drivers being lost.
June 6, 2018 at 7:11 am #143653Thanks. I’m thinking of this one, but not much feedback can be found.
