I mean it fitted into my lapbook 14.1 with a bit a sandpaper on the case,  shaved off about 2/3 mm to make the fit perfect.  You never had to shave any but it fitted better with the shaving/sanding.

my lapbook 14.1 needed a firmware upgrade to get it to work.

because it has no screen and just a red light I got to get a flasher from fleeBay and use a another PC to jump start the flashing.

Can not be certain that is your issue but it did fix my 14.1

strange my onda 21 boots up about in about 18 seconds on eMMC and 12 seconds on SSD.

Still any less than 30 seconds is amazingly fast.

Mine is perfect, it charges and does sound both at the same time.  I can confirm it is limited to 2242 m.2 SSD 🙁

speed of in built eMMC is about 150/90 and I got 525/250 with a small M.2 SSD I used.

Battery life at 50% brightness on “high performance” setting is 7+ hours.  Battery life on 25% brightness on “power saving” mode is well over 9 hours.

Boot time from power button to logon screen is less than 20 seconds.

Saying that mine does have the odd freeze (once an hour) where windows will jam up for about 5 seconds other than that there are no major issues to report.

my onda 21 can charge and has sound out via the built in speakers both at the same time there is no speaker hiss from built in speaker. Chris has a lemon me thinks

eMMC speed hack has been applied and makes some a little difference.

Almost fast as the tbook however the battery is much battery 7 to 8 hours battery life.

You flash the bios with a usb pen. Press f7 after powering on and choose USB pen and let it boot.

The latest bios should fix your issue but take it to someone who knows what they are doing. Latest bios is 0.26 but not all motherboards can take it.

then the bios flashing should un-brick it.  Good luck

Let me know how it goes

chuwi never hosted the correct bios file they only hosted v0.14 which is way too old for the newer hardware models.

If you received it dead then it is unlikely to be a bios issue, but it can not harm you giving it a try.

    Does HDMI work?

    file Bios 0.26

    and this guide

But mine was caused by a bad bios flash.  Yours could be anything.

You in the uk?  If so and you want to ship me the laptop I’ll have a try to repair it for the cost of a couple beers.

yeah it only for a 9 year old child so it not end of the world but not great.

I did crack the screen case open however the bottom section was difficult to open.  I could see the screen was held in with screws.

My money is going on the inverter being the issue.

<!–more–>I reckon that chuwi might have under clocked these in the bios because the newer hardware revision models have locked Bios.
