I cannot download the file too. The file is rather big (6.9gb) to be just the bios file. Presumably it is the windows 10 image or something like that.
January 7, 2018 at 1:12 pm #76581Hi there, i bought the same Xiaomi charger 45W, but i couldnt make it to charge my cube mix plus. I am assuming the typec to type c cable that comes with the charger doesnt support power delivery. Did you use the same cable? thanks

But it doesnt work on my mix plus. When i plugged it in, the battery notification says not charging and the battery discharges faster. Any solution for this problem Spyros G?
October 24, 2017 at 12:08 pm #73872My mix plus wont charge up to 100%. 2 months ago, it will charge only until 91%. When I plugged in, it says charging, but the percentage will never go beyond that. Now, it only charge till 81%. I am using oem charger with 12V 3.5A rating. The report from batterybar pro, also showing the same, with 0% of battery wear. Perhaps anyone have solution for this, would you share with us here.
October 23, 2017 at 2:10 am #73802Already fresh installed windows 10 anniversary update on my mixplus. Still the same issue. I have opened up the keyboard, but dont have any idea where to inspect. Most probably need to buy a new unit.
October 13, 2017 at 12:53 am #73344I have tried
- Reset the windows
- Boot in safe mode
- Try in bios mode
- Reinstalled windows
- Boot into ubuntu.
but none have worked for me. Anyway thank you for your suggestion. I guest it is hardware issue this time.

May 18, 2017 at 1:08 am #67128Hi all,
Just want to share my thermal mod experience. I first did thermal mod on my mix plus using 0.8mm copper shim and no brand thermal paste that purchased from aliexpress. The way I did is exactly like Chris did in the video except that I didnt smashed the aluminium heatsink to make it flat. The result, I only manage to get the temperature down like 10C while playing asphalt 8 for about 10 mniutes (from 98 to 88 C). Which I think not a good result since Chris manage to get the temp lower than 70C while playing BF4 for 10/15 min.
Then I open it up again, now I did:
- Smashed the aluminium heatsink
- Put the stock thermal pad in between the aluminium heatsink and the copper shim
- Put another 0.8mm copper shim on top of the aluminium heatsink.
By this I get the temperature less than 75C playing asphalt 8 for 15 miniutes which is much better than my 1st attempt. Any suggestion that I can do to futher improve my thermal? By the way, I have attached my intel XTU benchmark result. Would appreciate if any of you can share their aftermod result here.

Yes I am aware of that being microphone. That is not it. It is between the plastic and the metal side where we have the power button. Definitely build quality issue.
My unit comes with faulty charger, imperfect tablet attachment to the keyboard, deep scratches with the simcard/microsd card sized in the plastic part (looks someone have used it, and try to do some mod), annoying gap between plastic and metal in the upper area, and 64 GB internal SSD. (Still got the QC certification card in the box, ironically). All in one in my first experience buying from oversea. Dont know what kind of QC they are having. GB offered me for a replacement/refund if i return my unit to them, and partial refund of 35$ if I keep mine. I chose to keep my unit as to post it back to china it cost me around 45$. I have been using it for few days now since I got my new charger, few other issues which are:
- Sandisk ultra 64gb not detected (I read everywhere in this forum, but it seems still no solution for the issue)
- The touchpad setting is missing in windows setting eventhough it worked flawlessly. I didnot even find the touchpad driver in device manager.
- When i attach the tablet the other way around in the keyboard, the toucpad and all the keys still functioning. Is it normal?
- Do i need to update the bios? mine’s version is 5.12.
Thanks.
Thanks for your clarification!

April 27, 2017 at 1:32 pm #66160Dear Chris,
Thanks for your prompt reply. Already send message to them. No reply so far, hopefully they agree to just ship a 128GB SSD 22×42 to me, instead of me sending it back. Another thing I noticed, there are small gaps on both side of the upper part of the tablet, which pretty much annoyed me. It seems to be my unit is coded as cube i18-BL, while others in the web coded as i18-L. Any idea what is the difference between the two?

April 27, 2017 at 10:29 am #66148Rose,
Did you got your Cube Mix Plus? I received mine today which I ordered from GB, but the internal storage is not 128 GB as it supposed to be but instead only 64GB. Really frusfrated with GB. Not going to buy anything more from them.
