I have the same problem with battery. Battery is charging and it’s operational but I have no charg led on the side and any battery indicator in Linux or Windows. Nothing helped so I opened back cover and unplag and plug battery few times. It seemed to fix it for few days until today when battery was completely drained. I tried the same and it seems to work but if I leave the laptop unplugged for more then few minutes same thing happens (no battery indicator, no battery charge led) is there anyway of fixing it?
January 8, 2019 at 5:22 pm #149876Can’t say as I haven’t used JD. I got it from AliExpress as I said above
I couldn’t find any M.2 SSD in BR’s official store in http://www.jd.com which is one of the biggest online shopping platform in China.
January 8, 2019 at 11:19 am #149868Hi. After a long painstaking search and a failure of 2 SSD I think I found one that works well for me. It’s a BR m.2 SSD you can buy cheaply on AliExpress.
June 10, 2018 at 11:06 pm #143779I have also tried this kernel parameters:
libata.force=noncq libata.dma=0 libata.atapi_passthru16=0
January 27, 2018 at 10:17 pm #77839Is there any factory reset howto for ezbook 3 Pro or just go through the posts? Also I wonder has it happen to other people on here.
November 8, 2017 at 10:42 am #74563Ok one more thing. I’m using refund and Linux for 5 days and apart from my physical buttons still not working everything is an it should. Touch wood never had any problem with touchpad freezing. The only thing I can think of is that I removed unneeded drivers from rEFInd folder. Basically I can’t reproduce that bug. Hope I will never be able.
November 7, 2017 at 10:20 am #74523There is already thread somewhere on this forum. Basically it’s normal for this laptop. <!–more–>
November 7, 2017 at 12:05 am #74494I confirme the issue. I use Ubuntu 17.10 and at every reboot I lost the touchpad, sometimes in Windows (10) too… To avoid the problem the laptop isn’t powered down… Only sleeping… The only way I have found to restore touchpad is to boot with USB key with Ubuntu 17.10 (isorespined). This problem happens only when I boot on Ubuntu… I also suspect rEFInd… I’m not a specialist but it seems not possible to boot Ubuntu 17.10 with Grub (Apollo Lake problem)… If you find a solution plz post… ?
Yep, on unlocked bios select “Intel Linux” in “Chipset OS Selection” parameter. After that at GRUB starts to work fine, I’ve successfuly installed Ubuntu 17.10 from vanilla image.
What is unlocked BIOS? How did you flash it? Can you explain bit more?
November 3, 2017 at 1:35 pm #74339I’ve got a 256 Kingspec already waiting
Were you able to install Windows 10 and boot from the Kingspec SSD?
No. As I said KingSpec drive is designated for Linux. Once it’s up and running (should happen tonight) I will report about it.
Got my V4 Yesterday with San Disk storage, and the HS400 tweak worked very well. But does anyone know if this may kill the emmc or something ni a shorter time? Anyway the results are very good i had 200 in reading and 90 in writing
No. As far as I’m aware this eMMC (SanDisk DF4064) is build in accordance with 5.1 standard so it’s designed to work with HS400. Link to PDF specification sheet here
Riccardo can you confirm that your version of SanDisk eMMC is DF4064?
November 1, 2017 at 12:01 am #74226Just out of curiosity I’ve tested my KingSpec 256 GB SSD and Kinston 128GB XC1 class 10 SD card. Obviously speed difference is staggering.
