it’s a feature when you use windows in tablet mode, which basically means all the time u use it without a external mouse. disabling tablet mode in windows settings won’t help unfortunately. this ugly big non ergonomic menu will stay.

I just cut paste the old file in a back up folder in case and replaced it by yours edited and it’s definitely efficient! definitely more precise and responsive also i noticed that the stylus is more fluid and smooth on photoshop!
in adnroid it will be more tricky i guess but i hope we can find a way for this fix there too

February 8, 2016 at 12:22 pm #25381I’ve ordered a couple of “2.5mm USB power cord” (search on aliexpress). I have few spare 2.5-3.0 Amp USB chargers I hope I can use with these cables on my x16.Anyone tried this?? Only approx 1-1.50 USD each…

Forgot: I hope I can use my Power Bank when travelling with these cables as well…
It should work easy peasy too from the point you have enough voltage out of this power bank. if it’s only 2V out then it might result in very slow or even non charging or even discharging the tablet.
Like initially said above in this topic, i ordered this adapter and i jsut received it today :
It loads the tablet correctly, but when full loaded, i saw some screen bugs maybe linked to an over amperage. i.e. i want to touch the battery icone on Win10 and some it create multitouch impact on the same line (7 to 8 touches) and as for consequence to open programms in my task bar.
It goes off as soon as i unplugged the charger form the tablet.
I didn’t try it while loading so i can’t say for now if it’s happening only while full loaded. I’ll come back there with more info. so wait before you guys order the same thing if it’s not done yet.

Thing is a follow-up of specific software updates with chinese devices of all kind are kind of utopia…
I personally took the screen protector straight off when received i received my x16power as i got the keyboard case and a 12inch pouch. And i have no such misalignment with my pen. Maybe a pixel or 2 but with some sketch app from the store (autodesk or sketches) the drawing experience is really great to me as the pressure for thickness/transparency works as well as the accuracy of touch and the smoothness of moves. Ofc its not as perfect as the surface 4pro but still awsome for me.
Anyway if yu still experience bad positioning or responsiveness i suggest that u change the pen.

January 21, 2016 at 12:17 pm #23219The inking with the stylus is not as nice as surface pro. I am slightly disappointed although it is perhaps too much to expect a $300 product to equal a $600 one. I was thinking based on reviews of other products such as ASUS 8″ inking tablet and HP’s tablet that perhaps this one would be nice too but as it is it is barely acceptable.
- Biggest problem is that there is no cursor, the hovering cursor. So you don’t precisely know where the cursor is although you get fairly close since the tip is quite fine.
In fact you can set the cursor and otehr settings in settings/devices manager/stylus/show cursor.
Also for this price it’s still cool to be able to use such a stylus, Surface pro 3 is still over priced and i don’t even talk about the pro4.
Hopefully there’s still can be some software adjustement in future. but no other stylus will work for now on this tablet

January 13, 2016 at 9:24 pm #22252I think you formated it to NTFS (NT File System, wich is Windows’ proprietary file system, and not natively implemented in Android for numerous reasons). Try to format it to FAT32 (it’s the only FS fully compatible with Windows AND Android). Don’t know max size of FAT32 partitions, but you will need to bother with it, unless you don’t use your SD Card in Android or make 2 partitions (for each side).
thing is i formated the FT card as android asked me so should be the format android works with no? Anyway i put the 64GB FT card from my galaxy note 4 in the X16 and it worked perfectly and now i have 128 the for pictures and so on, on my phone.
ofcourse the inverse woulda be better but i doubt android can take more than 64GB anyway with this chinese device.

I plugged in my 128GB class 10 SD card while on windows 10 and the tablet recognized it perfectly and the card worked well.
BUT rebooting on android and a notif appeared saying you “the card is empty or the system is not efficient to let android read the content”
then it asked me to format the card, which i did cuz its an empty card but still didnt recognize it… next step trying with my 64GB card

January 9, 2016 at 7:13 pm #21691ok well, anyway if you want to repair it, i only see one way, that is to use carefully tin wire with a soldering iron to recreate te pin. Also the side pins are bigger and higher than the middle ones, which could make this operation tricky. hopefully they will replace it though.

I ordered a 2.5mm/0.7 pin , 3.5A 5V, Ali is the only place where i found these specs as written on the OEM one.
I wish this USB to magnet below would exist for 2.5 DC plug

January 9, 2016 at 1:13 pm #21655Hi all, Concerning keyboard I’ve found out that having two languages (FRA & ENG) as parameters was a good way around. In windows 10, press the win key + space bar to switch from one to the other. In Android, combination is different : press Fn + space bar. Other trick : invoke “soft” keyboard to get French accentuated letters (works for both W10 & Android). My two cents, Cedric (French too)
For me its an opportunity to create a personalized keyboard layer, and i have german, frenvh and english in win 10 task bar but its still not smooth like i wish to jump from one to another. On android its also a spare solution to do like u said. My aim is to create a keyboard layer using windows 10 keyboard editing settings. Im working on it but might take time to elaborate a 3 language layer for win 10 + android layer(that could offer swiftkey ergonomy) AND THEN to stick all this on my teclast keyboard.
