@alxboz yes i have tried 2 x usb 3 portable hard drives and both power up fine and using the usb 3 port works fine. I have also tried it in the usb type c port in my hub and that powers it fine too it transferred at around 100 meg a sec

    Hi Scott,

Thanks for your early impression about this Cube i9, this will help potential buyer like miself! Nice to see that both USB 3.0 and type C 3.1 are working fine. Can you tell when using type C to hdmi if the cube can output 1080p 60fps or higher?

Also I was wondering if you could check the screen model/tipe this cube is using: you should see it on the peripheral device panel.

    Thanks

(copy-pasting from the other tread where I asked the question)

    Hi guys,

my Chuwi Hi10 arrived yesterday from gearbest EU warehouse.
My unit is with Serial number HI10- HI10 42151101029-3000 came with windows 10 32bit, so I followed instruction at “http://forum.chuwi.com/thread-15-1-1.html” and updated it to windows 10 64bit.
I’m really unhappy with this product, as is not working as intended:
    – it does shut down without any reason, even with 40% of residual charge
    – if I try to connect external hard disk it shut down

Last time it shut down I was transferring small file between the 2 usb port using lexar usb flash drive while watching a video, after a couple of second it went black screen. Then I tried to boot it up again and after a couple of attempt it started but with something like 2% residual battery: problem is it was fully charged before black screen!
I’m sure is a battery/current problem: as soon as the usb demand more power the tablet shut down for preventing damage…

It’s NOT a reliable product, I’d like to know if anyone founded a solution/BIOS update to this problem or if I’ll have to ask a refund to gearbest.
    Thank you for you time,

    Hi there,

can anyone who have this tablet clarify if the usb type c is a 3.0 or a 3.1 usb (and not a merely usb 2.0 with type c connector)?

also could you please check if you are able to power up external self powered 2.5 hard disk?

    thanks
