i’m gonna give 1200×800 a shot.
I thought i would be more annoyed by the lack of sharpness, but when i started using it normally (tablet on a table and leaning back in a chair), the larger icons and font made more sense and the sharpness didn’t really matter.
completely agree with the touchscreen fix. life saver. too bad i can’t replicate the fix in android. i feel like deleting that partition entirely.
June 26, 2016 at 2:05 am #41984I ordered this one from aliexpress. Probably will take another 2 weeks to arrive
http://s.aliexpress.com/ba6vaQF3June 24, 2016 at 3:58 am #41876I’m using without a protector at the moment and do not dare to use the hipen. I had a tempered glass protector that shattered near the magnets on the keyboard dock.
waiting for replacement protector to arrive…
i do not recommend using the hipen without a protector. The screen does scratch quite easily.

Interesting. Just as I was opening up techtablet.com – it felt slower than normal.
I think i’m going to ramp it up again. benchmarks don’t lie.
June 3, 2016 at 6:24 am #39675Robert: try this http://forum.chuwi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1238&page=1#pid3490
it works like a charm even with a screen protector.
June 3, 2016 at 6:23 am #39674hi everyone
So i have changed my ram and ram speed back to 1066 and normal (instead of 1600 and fast).
Does anyone feel any significant difference? heat, speed, responsiveness? I think i actually feel its pretty much the same except that it gets hotter at 1600/fast.
Just wanted to poll what your experience is with the different settings.
May 28, 2016 at 2:47 am #38869Type “help” for a list commands available after u flash and when the command prompt shows up.
to exit, type “exit” not “e”
i believe “reset” works as well
May 27, 2016 at 4:56 am #38748i’m using “fast”.
I feel that it gets slightly hotter now. Has anyone tried a heat mod on the hi12?
May 25, 2016 at 5:03 am #38526i picked up a random glass protector from aliexpress. hopefully its good. its still on the way
the one which i bought from taobao in my earlier post was horrible – so i wouldn’t recommend it. Lots of bubbles and the edge cracked.
May 21, 2016 at 3:18 pm #38137nice. Congrats! Apologies just saw this
May 21, 2016 at 7:10 am #38086the flashing process will be very obvious. lines of scripts will appear and you will be given 5 seconds to proceed or to abort.
Ohkis wrote a tutorial in the pinned discussion up at the top of the forum. Go have a look
May 21, 2016 at 7:07 am #38085Thanks Ohkis.
I can also confirmed that I am running on 1600mhz ram and it has not auto-shutdown on me. All seems fine with the new bios.
Can’t be happier!
May 20, 2016 at 3:38 pm #38034I successfully flashed it by booting the usb containing the files by pressing f7 during boot up.
May 20, 2016 at 3:32 pm #38033I think it worked. I played hearthstone non stop down to 35% at 50% brightness. Seemed ok. Anyone else give it a shot?
running the battery down is really tiring…. The battery life is too good haha
May 20, 2016 at 6:09 am #38001I have no problems with the wifi. Streamed netflix and been playing hearthstone on the kindow x89.
