don’t worry they will ship it eventually
November 30, 2016 at 4:13 pm #57909you are confusing voltage with current, they are 2 very different things. what you’re talking about is not voltage but current. as i said, this tablet draws 1.84 Ampere from a 5V usb charger. so any quality usb charger rated @2A will suffice.
also, it seems you’re using some kind of software/app to measure the current, that’s wrong and possibly not accurate. if you really want to measure the real current flow you must get an usb voltage/current meter.
i got this one http://www.banggood.com/MantisTek-White-Tail-USB-Doctor-Voltage-Current-Detector-Power-Tester-p-1017785.html which is pretty good and it’s what i used to measure the current drawn by the tablet
November 29, 2016 at 12:14 am #57779why do you care about voltage? it’s 5v as per USB standard. its about 5.10-5.20 on my charger. this tablet does not have any quick charge technology, it draws 1.84A@5V and that’s it.
also, there is no stock charger as the tablet doesn’t come with one. if it did, it’s the seller that put a random one in the box for you
November 29, 2016 at 12:11 am #57778heh, there’s no easy way to get out of that mess. here are my suggestions, but you need to be quite tech savvy to do it
- make a full backup of the system in its current situation. it may be recoverable and you may need to recover it if it’s a MAK activated unit or you’ll lose your windows “license”
- create a usb drive of the windows 10 1607 iso, boot it and select repair, and make it try to repair boot problems
- if the above fails, google on how to fix that problem. as i said it may be recoverable but you will need to make yourself a bootable WinPE usb drive
- if all fails, you need to reflash the windows part of the tablet
all the instructions to do the various steps are around in this forum, most in the big thread of howtos, some other scattered around. won’t be easy tho
November 24, 2016 at 6:53 pm #57442what do you mean? if you want to know the current draw, the tablet draws a maximum of 1.84A, exactly the same as the non-type-c version.
November 22, 2016 at 3:42 pm #57269i’d recommend you an anker charger and type-c cable. good, cheap and tested stuff. also the type-c cable is approved by the dude at google that tried them all.

November 19, 2016 at 11:34 am #57137if it doesn’t activate by itself, you need a key
November 19, 2016 at 11:29 am #57136here’s my experience with GeekBuying:
-bought a Chuwi HiBook Pro from their spain warehouse, paid little extra for insurance + possibility to return to spain warehouse instead of china
– they shipped the day after, and tablet came in 4 days (their courier pretty much sucks, it’s MRW and was delivered by FedEx here in italy)
– tablet turned out defective (you can see my thread in the hibook forum), recorded the issues on video and immediately contacted their support asking for return/refund. they didn’t even argue and told me to ship it back to them.
– i shipped it back, a couple hours after they received it they mailed me saying they got the tablet and will issue the refund in the next 1-3 days
– refund came today and it was full refund including the shipment (the original shipment cost, not the return shipment i paid out of my pocket)
all in all they behaved really professionally. nothing to complain about.
November 13, 2016 at 12:48 pm #56861try going into fastboot mode and do
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot oem verified
November 11, 2016 at 9:38 pm #56782because data in the RAM gets corrupted and written on disk, thus corrupting the filesystem
November 11, 2016 at 9:20 pm #56778this unit is probably an early batch, juding by the bios version (ending with .230 while latest bios seems to be >=.234) however, it is the Pro version that should already be a kind of “fix” of the previous HiBook non-pro.
anyway, as always with chinese things, you cannot know which batch you’ll get beforehand so it’s better to avoid it altogether.
August 16, 2016 at 4:51 pm #47034there is no custom recovery.

June 24, 2016 at 7:46 am #41883how about reading the how-to sticky?
June 17, 2016 at 9:58 am #41293just tested it and works fine for me, under windows, mpc-hc. you have to manually enable hw accelerated hevc decoding in the lav video decoder options though
June 16, 2016 at 6:55 pm #41224that’s weird. gonna add a warning to the topic tho.
btw ye, i guess i got lucky to choose this one over the other 2. i honestly expected the hibook to be the same as iwork10 but clearly even if the ODM and base design is the same, the quality of the final product can differ quite a lot
