Hello again! I have changed my mind and I want to buy this: AUKEY USB C Hub with 4 USB 3.0 Ports + 1 HDMI Port + Type-C Input Charging Port That you confirmed working. If I need a Ethernet Port i will buy a usb Adapter for it. My question what i now have is: Can I use the Power supply and if yes, how? Some people say it’s risky to charge it that way but I want to know, what i have to buy that I can charge it without damaging the device. Just tell me what I need if it’s ok I don’t want to Risk to Brick the Tablet because I charge it not good.. It would also be nice if you can put it in the first Post so everyone knows it. Thank you
Hmm… you have to ask the rest to confirm that the usb hub works well with a usb c pd charger. I will still recommend using the dc port to charge as usb pd is still in the infant stages. just go buy a 12v dc adapter with earth.
September 13, 2016 at 10:27 am #49658So how can i find out if the tablet os dead of the battery is dead or the circuitboard is gone. I was able to get another charger. Thats charger os official ans working. The tablet still has no power.
Use a multimeter to test the charger. Use Watt meter to test if the laptop is drawing power. or hotwire the charger to the multimeter
September 13, 2016 at 10:20 am #49657The touchpad is way too sensitive. I just off it.
September 7, 2016 at 3:17 am #49080Since the xiaomi power bank does not work despite being able to charge a usb c macbook, I now have to decide between using a bulky 12v power bank or a 12v stepup booster.
Ordering a stepup booster now and hoping the 6w – 8w that it outputs is enough hahaha. failed which, may have to build my own step up booster.
May need to crack open and apply thermal pad to mod the casing to disperse heat better.
August 31, 2016 at 7:21 am #48500I bought AUKEY USB Type-C & Quick Charge 3.0 6-Port USB Charging Station but no luck, the Type-C charging cannot charge the i7 book.
Have been busy and not updating the list. will update in the next few days when my cables arrive. meanwhile, for the above, you will need type c with power delivery to work.
August 31, 2016 at 2:34 am #48489Well, kudos to TS.
The turbo mode seems to sucks a hell lot of power.
I was in a bit of fix today as I forgot to bring my charger to work.
By just switching to max processor 60% and brightness to 10%, I was able to stretch the laptop to 8 hrs and complete the day unscathed.August 25, 2016 at 8:29 pm #48001Use Genymotion?
August 24, 2016 at 10:22 am #47793I created an emergency drive and installed windows from there.
Wiped all files and programs but if the windows files are infected by default, can’t do much about that.
that will retain whatever key there is.
August 23, 2016 at 4:33 am #47696Hmm…. I just pasted a 5cm x 5cm thermal pad ontop of the original aluminium sink and it drops general temperature by 10 degree on the processor. Good enough I guess.
August 19, 2016 at 2:24 am #47312Ah. okay. Thanks. Will do that once I open it up again to replace my thermal pad. The current thermal pad I used seems to make the back budge a bit.
Great help there.
August 18, 2016 at 1:37 pm #47227My mistake. The 18w figure is from a xiaomi Power bank. The anker charges at 29w I think
August 18, 2016 at 6:28 am #47183In case if anybody is interested, I just wrap a bit of electrical tape around the dc port and that stopped the electrical buzz
