Hi, Sorry for the Newbie question, But where would I see what the current Firmware is bios/windows or android??

I bought a 50000 mAh USB  power pack which attaches to the back of the keyboard case (orig Teclast x98 pro) with some small neodymium magnets, and it works a treat.

Hi.

By far the best I have used is the official Google keyboard app from the play store. After download it walks you through. You can swipe with predictive text. Just wrote all this in seconds!!  😉

Oh so it’s not really a win/win situation.

Did your first X98 pro die due to the thermal issue? (tooo much gaming??)       you got me worried now….  😉

Yep working fine here in the UK. received mine on fri 30th Oct. dual boot all good.

Update all!!

Most importantly let it charge for 24Hrs and run down to 10% to condition the battery.  😉

Yeah. mine too started off real bad but is better now I’ve updated all. definitely better in Win 10.

(updated all drivers) only received mine on the 30th Nov so hoping I don’t need to upgrade the bios. It almost sounds to me that only half of the battery is working? very odd. don’t really want to open it up and start fitting new batteries/heat sinks. For £150 it is a cracking bit of kit.

To solve my battery conundrum, i have ordered a slim 50000 mAh power pack (£15 Ebay) to Velcro on to the back of the keyboard case ready to be deployed  😉  I know it’s not ideal but when it comes to battery life bigger is better. the fashion seems to be to make tec as thin as possible.

Cross fingers for the nano carbon revolution….

all in all this tablet is stable and fast, so for the money it is great value.

Hi Chris, I’ve adjusted allot of settings in win 10, plus updated all device drivers (w(where needed) also updated win. Seems much more stable now.

Oddly win reports say 3hrs 30 mins. Then if I boot straight to droid it says 1.5 Hrs???

so still a little odd…..

But if it keeps up its fab all round.

II think your bang on with the battery charging and conditioning. I recall other gadgets saying 1st charge for 24hrs.

Yeah mine too sucks if the battery is 50% or less in windows. Droid is better.

I found that leaving it charging is best when I’m window.. Mind you in my experience windows hates to run on battery’s.

Can only get 1.5hrs out of mine on full charge….?

Well found I had to fully charge it to get any where. Seems to work well in android. Windows mirrors on rebooting until I set down the power settings low, but best on mains power if working.

Though the battery was meant to last 3 hours?? No way… Even not running much on droid has me tied to… Ohhh 1.5hrs if lucky.

It’s like only half the battery is wired up. So…. Do I return it…. Open it up to see/fix the battery, or just run via a power pack???

 

The power thing sucks with this other wise  awesome bit of kit. Chrome in droid is fast as fudge!! Loads in milli seconds and scrolls well.???
