June 29, 2024 at 12:21 am #232373You’re welcome 🙂December 15, 2022 at 3:21 am #224565
hello. I reinstalled windows 10 on my ezpad 6s pro. everything is good, but there is one drawback. when I touch the screen, the accuracy of the touch does not raise questions. but when touched, the right mouse button always works. What needs to be done so that the screen behaves adequately? Thanks
Hi max,
sorry, I don’t fully understand what you mean with that. When I do a short press on the touchscreen it will show a circle and perform a left-click, when long-pressing it will show a square and perform a right click. I think there is a windows setting to adjust the delay until it counts as a right click.
If you touchscreen only does right clicks but the position is correct, than probably it is a slightly different controller and possibly requires a different firmware. Jumper has shipped the tablet with at least two different versions of touchscreens, I think both versions (a/b) have a driver linked here in this thread, but there could always be more versions.

BenjaminJune 5, 2020 at 5:43 pm #183195Hi Ben
The webcam is connected internally with usb. Mine had some solderpads next to the ribbon which should expose all four neccesary pins for USB. So you could hook it up to another pc to test it by butchering an usb cable and soldering to the pads.
The only thing in the bios could be that you managed to disable this specific usb port.
If the thing shows up as a usb webcam somewhere in device manager it’s probably the windows data protection/privacy setting which I think by default blocks normal non WinStore apps from using the camera.
You can probably find cheap replacements on ebay when you search for “usb camera laptop”. But the quality of those mini cameras is very lackluster.
It’s currently difficult to get a webcam because of high market demand. You could try to use an android phone as a webcam (droidcam and others) or if this video setup can be stationary you could get a ip surveilance camera.
I know all of this because I actually ripped the usb cam out of my tablet, since the missing camera active led makes the thing not very trustworthy.

If you need further info, just reply 🙂

May 1, 2020 at 12:35 am #182999- Hi I just bought an ezpad pro 6 and upgraded to windows 10 Pro but my touchscreen won’t work but says my driver is up to date. Can someone please help me because this is so frustrating
Check out this post/thread for drive related issues with touchscreen
You have to use a little trick so that windows does not use it’s default not working driver and force an install even though it says “Driver is up to date”.

February 3, 2020 at 12:25 am #182635<p style=”text-align: left;”>Benjamin, thank you so much to do this, but unfortunately doesn’t worked for me. I have the Ezpad 6 and not the 6s. I think the exit menu is different. I remember there is a “Load Optimal Defaults” option, and don’t have the “Restore Default” option.</p>
I found a screenshot from an ezpad 5se, which seems to have a bios with “Load Optimal Defaults” instead of “Restore Default”. I would guess Jumper tried to minimize the effort and reused the bios in different models, so the instructions might work for yours.

January 31, 2020 at 10:58 pm #182625Hi, I´ve got a similiar problem on my EzPad6. I´ve changed something and don´t have video anymore. Could you show me how can I load optimal settings in bios? The sequence in keyboard, because I don´t have any video. Thanks.
Hi, please take a look if this helps: https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/bios-restore-ezpad6s-might-work-for-others-too/#post-182614
Have you checked if the ssd comes up in the bios under “Chipset”->”South Cluster Configuration”->”Sata Drives”
And check if you:
-have Chipset SATA enabled
-have Port 0 enabled
-have Sata Device Type on “Solid State Drive”
-have something showing up after “Sata Port 0” like your ssd’s name

January 26, 2020 at 10:20 pm #182580Hi mike,
Could you solve the touch screen problem? I have the same problem.
See https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/drivers-for-ezpad-6-pro/page/4/#post-149718
Check which touchscreen model you have (a / b). What kind of problem do you have with your touchscreen?
If it generates touches on seemingly random spots and does not repond corectely then that issue can be fixed with the right driver.

January 26, 2020 at 10:10 pm #182571Enter bios with ESC
3x right for “Chipset”
3x down for “Uncore Config”
4x down for “Integrated Graphics Device” (I guess that’s the one you changed)
Enter
1x up for enable
Enter
Esc (Save and Exit, defaults to yes)
Enter
If this is not working please let me know…

according to https://youtu.be/WUVNKHqBOUU?t=133
there the storage is soldered directly to the mainboard, so you will be unable to expand it.
So options which do not involve soldering would be using an usb stick or an sd card.
They will appear as an extra storage, just like they would show up on any other pc.

August 5, 2019 at 8:43 pm #181473Hello. Any drivers for webcam? I tried some but doesn’t work i tried on Skype someones even crash Windows. Thank you.
The build in webcam is internally connected with usb 2, the chip it uses is an m5608u. If I remember correctely I didn’t have to install any driver. It showed up as an usb webcam. Have you tested it with the windows 10 camera app?
June 25, 2019 at 2:52 pm #181108Hi Aryan,
Reason why I did it was if I plug charge when the system is off… the it would never turn on again…
I’m not realy sure what you mean. I tested how the tablet behaves with unplugged battery:
After unplugging the internal battery and connecting the charger the orange charging led went on even though there was no battery connected/nothing to charge. So think of it more as an “external 12v supply connected” LED. When pressing the power button in this state the tablet tries to boot three times and fails at the first two with a black screen, but does reboot automatically and after the third try it eventually works and starts up the operating system.
When connecting the battery back to the tablet without the external powersupply the first two starups fail in the same manner as after disconnecting the battery. But after the third attemt it will sucessfully boot.
Be careful when you do an attempt a battery replacement, an exploding lithium battery is the last thing you want, and it’s easy to accidentaly short some leads while you solder the wires.
NoTe: my jumper Ezpad 6s pro came with 128GB of SSD and NO EMMc there is no onboard EMMc storage… I dont know may be this is reason of some Bios settings.
Hm, they might have saved the expense of soldering a emmc chip on the board, the ssd will be faster anyway, so you won’t miss out on anything.

┌─────┐ │ v+ │ │ v+ │ │ nc │ │ nc │ <-Cable plugs in from this side │ RES │ │ GND │ │ GND │ └─────┘
RES to GND is 10.01 kOhm at 24.0°C, so I guess thats an 10kOhm NTC.
V+ to GND is when about 70% charged 7.94V
Have you accedentaly measured resistance accross v+ and gnd? Because that voltage (3.7V) would be about what you should expect from a single lithium cell when depleted, not two cells in series. Since the two cells are in series to get to the 8V, you might be able to carefully lift the tape accross the battery terminals and meassure voltage of the individual cells and check if one is dead.
Just one note: my battery connector cable has a white cable instead of an yellow one, so they might not be the same.
If you plan to replace your battery i would recommend that you check out the data sheet of the charge controller which should be an MAX 17205.
https://datasheets.maximintegrated.com/en/ds/MAX17201-MAX17215.pdf
According to the datasheet this chip should be able to do cell balancing when the protection circuit is on the hight side of the cell (see page 29). Maybe jumper designed for that because there are more traces to the battery connector.
If you have any news on this toppic please let me know because replacing the lithium battery is something that has to done to every tablet eventually.
