Hi, just found the time to make a full dump of the bios. You’ll need a spi flash programmer and some test hooks or a soic-8 clip. Here is a thread that covers the flashing process and tools: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/unbrick-x98-pro-bios-usb-flash/ Note that the chip operates at 1.8V, using a cheap ch341 programmer without a level converter might destroy it! The dump was verified three times and should be fine. I’ve removed my windows key, but you can add yours with a hex editor at address 0x415014 (replacing XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX) Download: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=79803607492286945536 Bryan, if you want you can add this to your google drive share, as I don’t know how long this link will work and the forum upload does not work somehow. Hope that helps someone.
Thanks Peter, I’ll be uploading but I’ve since returned my tbook and given up on this company due to their lack of respect for companies following the issues with their keyboard docks. I purchased an Asus t200ta-c1-bl which will be arriving and that will be my new toy.. Picked it up brand new for $275 with 4gb ram, 64gb drive and (should have) 500gb in the keyboard dock with usb 3 and lan ports.. Sports a z3795 running dual channel ram which should be a nice boost in comparison to the over-used (and SUPER cheap) z8300 found in all these chinese tablets. The only time I’ll be going back to Chinese will probably be for a cube Core M model. Good luck, guys.
Also, I have a working Teclast stylus and charger (slightly bent pin but functions perfectly) that I’d be willing to post to anyone in continental US for cheap! Let me know if anyone wants.

June 26, 2016 at 6:42 pm #42031Linux is for those looking to go the extra mile to get the best on their PC.. So I can’t see how this is a huge downfall?
June 25, 2016 at 10:36 pm #41975Also, as stated before.. My silicon power 128gb SD worked in both OS. It’s a known issue for low quality SD cards to not work There are different types of SD and i guess some are more compatible than others. Mine is IU1 class 10 128gb.
June 25, 2016 at 10:33 pm #41974Hello! I used the Tools and isos that was posted on Google drive by Bryan. Everything worked fine but i have now a chinese Windows with admin Account only. I cant add another Account because it needs an app that is available in the store, but i cant open the store. Hof can i fix that?
you fix it like any other windows problem. when i reinstalled the iso, i simply was able to choose english but apparently no one else can. just find a way to change the language.. It’s not hard (these are simple problems you can Google)
June 14, 2016 at 3:46 pm #40942Everyone is running the same build, and my OTA updater always got errors. Dont expect updates anyway unless it’s a major OS upgrade like to 6 or 7.
June 10, 2016 at 6:40 am #40401I tried for a couple days in different methods to root the tbook 10, all to no avail. I’m not too sure why either. I never had any issues whatsoever on my tablet in Android though.. I hope my replacement is just as good as my old one was.
June 10, 2016 at 6:36 am #40400Honestly, nex I’m not too sure you’ll have to try again, I suppose?
Andrew, the drivers are cooked into the OS therefore you cannot install separate drivers without hacking the OS. You’re better off asking Android devs because I’m not too sure what could be happening.
June 7, 2016 at 6:27 pm #40203I have a Silicon Power 128gb class 10 U1 that works flawlessly in both. (T10 though) Sandisk are low quality unless you buy top of the line, same with Kingston I’d suppose.
June 6, 2016 at 9:47 pm #40073Hm, I don’t recall seeing a cutout for the RF shield/heatsink on my t10.
June 6, 2016 at 9:43 pm #40072Indeed, these are odd issues. You guys may want replacements in that case.
June 3, 2016 at 1:11 am #39663If you turn off 20/40 on your adapter settings it will force 40Mhz. Leave that on Auto, and make sure your router is set for 20Mhz. Reinstalling won’t make a difference, you need to fix the drivers or your wifi settings! You can try my driver dumps of either updated or stock teclast drivers and see what happens.
June 1, 2016 at 10:35 pm #39534I didn’t bother taking pics, sorry. It’s a standard setup using clips to hold the front and back together, note that the bezel on the glass is part of the glass and not the back. There’s tons of tape holding down the wires but I’ve only torn down and repaired my iPhone/laptop/desktop aside from opening this up.. It’s pretty dumb how the bios isn’t on its own chip which means it’s unflashable if it kills itself.. There was no way to get the device to talk to my laptop after bricking the bios and it refused to boot a safe mode or anything of the sort.
June 1, 2016 at 10:31 pm #39533I suggest going over your budget and getting a Core M tablet like the i7 Stylus/i9 or X2/X3 pro.
