Oh, and btw, after selecting the USB drive to boot from the Chui logo and spinning balls are in-screen for a loooong time (like 10 maybe 15 minutes) before you see anything else happening (I powered off twice thinking it was dead before leaving it alone for a long while).
April 28, 2017 at 4:49 pm #66226I had no real success installing a clean Windows Creators Update from USB and therefore downloaded CHUWIs Windows files. It surprised me, that they are very big, over 7 GB. The Install.wim alone is 6.8 GB. Is this legit and usable? I could not burn a standard ISO-file but had to use UDF format but even then “Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool” could not burn the USB stick.
Are you using Rufus to burn the Iso to the USB drive? If not, try that.
April 25, 2017 at 7:16 pm #66041Did a complete fresh install from a Microsoft install media (not an image from Chuwi), and had no issues whatsoever.
Installed the OS, then the Chuwi drivers from the driver pack hosted on the download section of this site, and the new install was fully activated upon completion without entering a key etc. It is not shipped with a hacked license.
April 22, 2017 at 5:48 pm #65855Nevermind. Its f12 for both setup and boot menu.
Thanks anyway.

April 17, 2017 at 7:59 pm #65502Yep, I’d be interested in taking it as is. Please PM ME with asking price and is the device in EU or US?
Thanks

April 14, 2017 at 9:22 am #65286So, looking into this a bit more it’s pretty clear that the keyu 1440 charger supplied with the hi13 is not USB-IF PD certified and is most probably just a normal dumb 12v 2a charger with a USB-c connector instead of the typical 5mm barrel plug. That would mean one should not use it to charge any other USB-pd compliant devices.
This doesn’t exclude the possibility that the hi13 has a compliant input, but does put that into question.
@Austin No! Many on the list have been found to be dangerous. Best to read the article in the post above to understand the issues and how to interpret the list. It’ll be interesting to see if Chris’ Samsung charger works. My money would say that it would output only 5v to the Hi13, but we might get lucky (I’ve got 5 of those chargers).April 13, 2017 at 5:26 pm #65245Hey Chris,
While it is not yet clear which charging standard (I hope it does adhere to a standard) the Hi13 supports, I’d be careful with the Samsung unit as is doesn’t Support USB-pd rev.1 or rev. 2, but it is rather a Samsung active fast Charge/Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 charger.
It is not USB-type c (pd) compliant and uses a completely different power negotiation protocol and could fry your device.
Here is a list of chargers tested, including advertised supported standards and, equally important, how well they comply with those standards.
Unfortunately, it looks like its going to be quite a while until we have true compatibility with USB-c charging because companies like Samsung deduce to use non compliant charging devices.
Btw I run a Samsung Tabpro S as my main mobile device and Samsung EU has not been able (or willing?) to confirm if I can use a USB-PD compliant charger to fast charge it. Really, really great tablet though and looking forward to getting the HI13 next week to see if it can compare.

April 13, 2017 at 12:46 pm #65222On the Topic of USB type c charging, this is a useful read with an extensive analysis of many available chargers

April 2, 2017 at 3:06 pm #64436Looks like there is at least one in the wild…..
March 20, 2017 at 6:36 pm #63745Have they asked you to cancel it? Got reports from one user that they got a super deal on the Hi13 and now they sent an email asking if he wanted to wait or refund it which I thought was really odd. As if it was an error and they want him to cancel?
Nope, the order looks normal.
Chris, are you expecting to receive a HI13 before this order arrives?
June 14, 2016 at 11:28 am #40919Have you tried to turn off your tablet for a hour and reboot to windows (this only appears in windows) to see if you have it for a while after reboot?
June 13, 2016 at 12:00 pm #40801A battery didn’t solve the issue BUT I was able to get this for work again for a while.
After turning off the HI12 for a few hours and restarting windows, the pen cursor is appears again, but disappears after about 90mins.
It seems that the Dell Venue 8 had the same issues until a new pen design was released. http://forums.windowscentral.com/dell-venue-8-pro/269625-stylus-cursor-disappeared.html
Can anyone confirm that they also have the cursor disappear/reappear as above (see link for photo of cursor)?
June 8, 2016 at 1:19 pm #40263Hi there, the hover cursor (officially called the pen cursor) was definitely there. After a lot of searching I found that Dell Verso 8 users had the same issue with what seems to be a very similar stylus. There were a few people who noted that a new battery solved the issue (it seems that they were experiencing battery drain when the pen was stored too close to the tablet). I’ve ordered a new one and will report back when I have tried it.
Thanks
May 13, 2016 at 9:36 am #37123Do you know if the 5v and Gnd pins can be used for charging the tablet, or are they only for power out to keyboard etc?
Thanks,
