Given that the Trekstor keyboard which they sell as a spare part for the Duo W2 (I think it is – too lazy to check now, but you obviously know the one) fits the Cube tablet perfectly (see my post on the thread regarding the keyboard), then I guess the Trekstor Stylus will also work fine. If you’re in Germany then you can always order one and and send it back if it doesn’t work – you only lose the postage. Would have tried it myself by now, but don’t have any use for a stylus personally. The keyboard on the other hand I use a lot.
April 29, 2016 at 9:07 am #35519Hi Henry,
technically the TrekStor keyboard is, so far as I can see, absolutely identical to the Cube CDK05 – just a different finish on the bottom side. The keys are therefore going to be just as difficult to snap out as Evil E described above.
I guess you might be out of luck on this one, unless you manage to find a local brand offering a product from the same ODM.

April 28, 2016 at 6:02 am #35327In case anyone else is interested, my Trekstor SurfTab Duo W1 Keyboard arrived yesterday. The Trekstor tablet is basically identical to the Windows-only 32GB/2GB Cube iWork 10 tablet, and the keyboard also fits perfectly on an iWork10 Ultimate. The keyboard layout is German QWERTZ and the hinge and back have a black rubberised coating which actually fits good with the blue paint job of the tablet and has a nice grippy feel. The four rubber feet are there as well, as well as a small Trekstor logo, the model (Surftab Duo W1) and a CE logo printed in white.
In other words, for less than the price of the Cube keyboard (30€ + P&P) you can in Europe buy a localised version of the same keyboard (so long as your locale is German, but for other locales you can put stickers on I guess the same as if you get the US layout).
April 23, 2016 at 7:39 pm #34826Hi Laura,
thanks for all the really great info.
I’ve just a question regarding “General guidelines to install your own windows and mantain proper dual boot” – what happens if you just install Windows and don’t do the messing around restoring original partitions and so on? What parts of the dual boot system don’t work properly without this?
April 23, 2016 at 6:25 pm #34813Mine arrived today, so took exactly three weeks from the shipping notification until arrival. Yesterday evening it was supposedly still waiting to be presented to customs, but it looks like they just stuck a sticker on it an waved it through. Packaging was pretty good – a couple of yards of bubblewrap around it inside the padded envelope. The official PU case was (in blue) looks to fit OK, not too tacky, and will certainly do a job. The tempered glass screen protected was also in the package, but I haven’t applied that (or even opened the packaging) yet.
It’s a TL unit as expected. First impressions are pretty good. It’s a little heavy compared to the 7″ tablets I’m used to, but look and feel is good and the screen was good when I turned it on briefly.
I’ve ordered a TrekStor keyboard now – looks like I may have got the last one as they’re now listed as unavailable (was listed as only a few left as I ordered!). Will post something when that arrives as to whether it is the same as the Cube one.
First job now however will be to do a backup and then clean install of Windows 10.
April 22, 2016 at 5:33 pm #34697Mine has been “being prepared for presentation to customs” for over a week now. Sent with Post NL to hopefully avoid import duty, but looks like that’s not worked out. To be honest I just hope they get on with it now, whether I have to pay or not, and that there’s not some other problem.
April 19, 2016 at 2:34 pm #34276It’s listed as supported, but optional.
April 14, 2016 at 11:29 am #33481Same here – no news since it entered the country (status: Was processed in the destination country). Reading around that’s pretty normal though for Netherlands Express to here: the national postal service put their own tracking number on it and don’t link back to the old one.
April 13, 2016 at 7:20 pm #33342Has anyone tried APO/Peace (see this thread for the Chuwi Hi10) on this tablet yet? Mine’s now in the right country, so can hopefully try it myself soon…
April 12, 2016 at 9:32 am #33131OK, good to know. Mine from the Gearbest sale should arrive this week so I guess I’ll probably be in the same boat. Did you contact Gearbest about that or start a Paypal dispute?
April 12, 2016 at 9:13 am #33126Hi Laura, what happened with your Windows product key when you did this? Did Windows 10 home activate fine automatically or have you managed to find a proper key?
April 7, 2016 at 6:20 am #32348My tracking number (with PostNL) looks to be good – currently reporting that the package has left the originating country. It took a few days after GearBest reported it sent for it to appear, but now just sitting and waiting and hoping it arrives in one piece.
April 2, 2016 at 5:40 pm #31718I received a dispatch notice out of the blue today too. I’ve ordered a screen protector with the tablet, but was going to order the TrekStor SurfTab Duo W1 keyboard once the tablet’s arrived. It looks like it ought to fit, and from everything I’ve read the TrekStor tablet is pretty identical, and the keyboard actually costs less than the Cube keyboard – no idea whether the keyboard build quality is identical to the Cube though, since that’s meant to be pretty good. I’ll report back once I’ve tried it, in case anyone else is interested.
March 31, 2016 at 11:26 am #31478I guess no need to add that I’ve heard nothing yet either. Still listed as 10-15 days dispatch last time I checked.
March 18, 2016 at 6:23 am #29894I ordered from Gearbest (together with stylus & case) on 7th March when shipping was still listed as 3-5 days, since then its gone up to 10-15 days and of course I haven’t heard anything yet. To be honest I’ve not reckoned with having the tablet before mid-April anyway, so I’m pretty relaxed. I’ve ordered stuff from the far east via Ebay before now and it’s turned up a couple of months later after I’d already written it off, although nothing as expensive as a tablet. I hope that maybe the delay means that the Play Store issue will be resolved by the time mine gets dispatched.
Paid for insurance and with Paypal, but no express shipping (hope to avoid customs!).
