@Windave : Do you have detailed pictures ?
January 2, 2017 at 8:07 pm #59699Both Android and Windows don’t read my SDCards anymore. They are detected but fail to mount.
June 2, 2016 at 1:45 pm #39611That looks like a hardware issue. I haven’t seen anybody report this. Contact your seller and good luck.
May 19, 2016 at 7:56 pm #37965@farmerjohn : http://www.needrom.com/download/chuwi-hi8-pro-dual-os/
It’s included in the zip, as well as the drivers you’ll need.
May 18, 2016 at 7:11 pm #37858I’ve also been experimenting with creating flows in “automate” from play store that disable wifi before the device ends up in deep sleep. I’d like to share them. Maybe somebody learns from it , maybe somebody has superior ideas.
Btw @piotr : you have my attention…maybe we can help you test?

May 12, 2016 at 8:39 am #36929I’d flash the ROM again…. Sources and procedures : http://www.needrom.com/download/chuwi-hi8-pro-dual-os/
May 8, 2016 at 8:38 am #36411TWRP 3.0.1 and SUperSU Beta 2.71 on XDA worked for me too.
Does anybody know how to boot in TWRP with the key combination ? power + volume down/up doesn’t seem to work.
Then the next thing… did anybody managed to install xposed framework ? I’m currently stuck in the bootloop, failing to boot into TWRP(key combination?) , meaning i can’t disable xposed. It looks like I have to flash again

Are Engineers working on the sleep of death issue that is plaguing our Chuwi Hi 8 Pro Dual boot – Android ?
April 25, 2016 at 8:01 pm #35043I’m not sure that it’s bios. My screenshot shows at least a serious battery drain issue in android system. You’d expect it to be between 5and15% on a normal functioning device.

The activation email, i received contained a bunch of weird characters and no link to click. Probably it was in Chinese. Until now i failed to make it readable and clickable. Grrr frustration with Chuwi is growing.
April 24, 2016 at 8:12 pm #34930What can we do about it ?
What if we start complaining and asking for a fix in their forum (http://forum.chuwi.com/forum.php?gid=38)? Would they respond to that ?How are the resellers responding ?(Gearbest, Banggood,…) Can we put pressure on them to make Chuwi fix this ? I guess they don’t like bad reviews in the first place…April 23, 2016 at 7:28 am #34752Together with the fail to wake from deep sleep, i noticed a battery drain. My device had this waking up issue almost every time I dare to leave it alone for a while. Even while charging. This is how i was able to proove it that it was having battery drain.( In battery stats the charge level was lower after reboot than before reboot).
