So… I bought this USB quickcharge 2/3/PE (8€) and connected with the Chuwi USB-c cable to a Quick Charge 2.0 AUKEY 3-Port USB Wall Charger (15€) (I already had it at home), pressed twice to change from 5v to 12.2v and… It works!!! The USB adaptor show 1.82A and 12.2V, so it means 22 Watts. I think it is charging a bit slower than the original, but it charges whole I’m using it. Also I noticed the original charger gives a little bit electricity touching the tablet when connected but this one does not. So it seems better than the cheap chuwi’s original one. I’m very pleased because I will not have several chargers when travelling, and AUKEY charger looks safer to me.
Could you please give us the link to where you bought it?
May 9, 2017 at 1:31 pm #66711I dont think it’s fully possible to 100 % disable Windows update?
How would you turn off Windows update 100 % – especially in Windows 10 – non pro version?
I have tried so many times and everytime, Microsoft somehow managed to force a auto update on my tablet, so annoying.
April 24, 2017 at 3:09 pm #65942You guys really buying it – just in order to try it out if it works or not? 😛
That’s really expensive business – just for a tablet like this!
Talking about dedication! Oh well, I’m glad at least Hi12 had a proper power supply source that can be powered by any power banks out there, no matter where you buy it from.
April 13, 2017 at 5:46 pm #65247It’s gonna be difficult I think since you will probably need to install both Windows and Android at the same time but that is only if it works at all. I think chuwi official website did release some files to do this.
Many people are doing mistake to remove Android out of this dual BOOT just because it takes 10 GB of storage. I don’t think it’s worth it to mess it up for that small amount of storage. You can have external microSD card to 256 GB storage if you would want to.
April 11, 2017 at 7:53 pm #65103Ohh the infamous “sleeping mode” syndrome from Chuwi ?
If it’s true, this problem existed in Hi12 as well.
April 8, 2017 at 7:24 pm #64900Someone from this site who is a long time Hi12 user advised me to use Vivaldi browser for it when I order it in the future. Maybe try Vivaldi.
I think the person you were talking about was me 😛 I wrote about Vivaldi in the review thread from what I remembered. And yes, I still think that Vivaldi is a good web browser compared to many other web browsers.
But I recently found out about a new web browser which is even 3 times faster (!) than Vivaldi and takes the least RAM, least CPU usage, least everything.
I don’t even think any other web browsers can beat this browser in term of speed and light weight (maybe only text based web browser).
This browser I’m talking about is: Maxthon Nitro.I don’t think anyone will be disappointed after trying out this browser. It’s just too good, it fits chuwi Hi12 perfectly and I never had any lags on it  – like at all.
The only downside is that it’s very small browser so no extra settings, plugins, etc.
But if you want extra settings, plugins ,then you should use Maxthon 5. Â It’s a bigger cousin of Maxthon Nitro but still faster than Vivaldi and ofc Edge, Chrome, Opera, etc, you name it.
Source: I got so desperate to find a light weight browser for Hi12 that I spent days downloading every light weight browsers out there and compare it with percentage of RAM, CPU, etc until I found Maxthon Nitro.
Once you go Nitro, you never go back.
April 8, 2017 at 7:16 pm #64899i have Z8350 proc !!
Sorry to ask  but why did you edit your post? You gave us the solution before from what I saw last time – with Chuwi hi10 forum, could you please link it again?
You chose option 3 you said. I forgot to bookmark that one so please edit again if you can 🙂
Thank you in advance!
April 8, 2017 at 2:06 pm #64885How did you solve this problem since the title says “resolved”?
<span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>Would you mind telling us? And which CPU version did you have z8350 or z8300? </span>
April 8, 2017 at 7:00 am #64878If you go back a few pages, you will see that I gave some heads up regarding aliexpress.
<span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>It’s a risky business when it comes to more expensive items and 300-400 usd is expensive imho. Like previous users said: if everything goes well then you are good to go but as soon  as you stumble on any problems,  then everything goes South – because their customer service will just toy you around from one staff to another. Everything is building up on that you are lucky to get an honest seller who actually will help you. Otherwise,  you are pretty much left out alone. </span>
April 5, 2017 at 1:18 pm #64711my question then is why the F use Edge when there are so many other better browsers? The two i use are Vivaldi and Slimjet.
Despite your language, because Vivaldi does NOT support touch so well like edge does.
Edge is smoother in touch mode – whenever you are using it as a tablet.
Vivaldi doesn’t have pinch to zoom and trust me, I have tried all the versions of Vivaldi. I even tried out Maxthon nitro – which is even faster than Slimjet and doesn’t matter which web browser you are using, the one which supports touch the best is still hands down Edge.
And Edge is better to wathc 4k vidoes and netflix with.
Edge is def not perfect but at least, it gives you full supports of all the touch you need. Remember, this is still a tablet, and therefore needs compatible web browser to it.
If we don’t care about touch, then Maxthon Nitro is the fastest web browser I have ever seen on tablets like this. Also used the least amount of RAM and CPU percentage.
April 5, 2017 at 12:37 pm #64709@Les, how much did they pre-sell it for? I’m just curious.
And I have a question to Chris:
How did you feel when you are browsing (with Edge) on Hi13? Is that laggy? I saw one of the comment in your video of someone asking that question and I think it’s pretty important to know since almost all of us are gonna use it to internet surf with.
Does it really spike up to 100 % on CPU in Edge like it did with hi12?
April 4, 2017 at 1:01 am #64557Just wanna give a headsup for you guys regarding Chuwi Official store on Aliexpress.
I ordered Chuwi Hi12 from the same store last year and it was a terrible experience. That guy: “Andy” from Chuwi Official store @AliExpress –Â refused to answer on messages on customers and I was not the only one who got this treatment. It turned out to be that he only answered on messages BEFORE people paying for the products. But after customers had already paid, he ignored all the messages – if you stumble on any problems during either shipping or when you recieved faulty products. Don’t expect answers from him then.
I would recommend you guys to order from another store on AliExpress. They have plenty of retailers there who are also selling Chuwi products.
I know that Chuwi Official store is probably belonging to Chuwi themselves but don’t expect any replies from them in case anything happens to your products which you ordered. They are very rude also so watch out for that specific store.
April 4, 2017 at 12:54 am #64556How heavy is that keyboard? It says 0.9 kg on Gearbest, is that correct?
It seems like Chuwi Hi13 tablet will be also 0.9 kg so total weight will be almost 2 kg? That’s pretty heavy, isn’t it?
March 14, 2017 at 6:12 pm #63363Where did you download the Windows iso file if I may ask? And how would Windows 10 register Windows key with this tablet? Or did you use your own windows key (external) ?
February 6, 2017 at 9:53 pm #61741Works perfectly. Thank you very much.. Note: Be sure the usb stick is not placed in the blue port!!!
When did you buy your tablet? I thought that newer batches already have latest BIOS version installed?
This version is supposed to come out in April. The latest version is coming out in June 2016…
So that means you just degraded your BIOS from June version to April version if you bought your tablet recently.
