    Hi Patrick,

I read your post with interest – others have also lamented the fact that the i35 doesn’t have that 360 “yoga”-type hinge (it’s always something, isn’t it? 🙂 ). I remember one reader here pointing out that you could simply lay the screen down on the table top and then position the body (keyboard) at about 90 – 100 degrees and the laptop will remain perfectly still as you draw on the screen, so that’s one way to draw on a perfectly flat screen. However it sounds like you’re looking for a different solution where the screen could be angled upwards as well as lying flat?

Bumping this. Anyone know of a replacement battery that works? I have been happy about the batterylife on the thinker untill it suddenly died. now i get about 5 minutes after i disconnect it from the charger.

Hello Kristian, the battery I bought from Aliexpress is working well. You can find it here > https://bit.ly/2IFvg3w

Oh and yeah, the battery life is still crap at 3-4 hours max :). I don’t like lowering my screen brightness below 75% so that’s the 1 big drawback to the Thinker. But that screen! It’s truly beautiful, and touch to boot.

Hi Chris no worries, people will be able to find the battery easily using those search terms.

No no, the battery hasn’t swelled up or anything – I’ve not found any problems with the battery itself, I don’t want to give people that impression. What I did notice at first was a small issue with the amount of travel for keys in the center of the keyboard. I could see that the laptop’s shell – that portion of the body sitting directly under the keyboard – was sitting up a bit more than normal in the center compared with the shell at the edges, as if there was pressure being applied to it from underneath. This affected the travel for keys in the very center of the keyboard like T, G, N- when hitting these keys my fingers would be “bottoming out” ie contacting the laptop shell sooner than normal.

I disassembled the laptop and made sure the battery was as tightly taped down as possible and that fixed it.  That’s when I realized that the extra 0.5mm in thickness could possibly cause issues if one is careless about how the battery is secured. Or maybe I just didn’t do a good job making sure the laptop body was properly aligned before closing it with the T5 screws. Either way I thought I should point this out to everyone.

I had the same problem and only recently found a replacement battery for my Thinker. You can search for it on Aliexpress using the search terms:

5000mAh Battery for ALLDOCUBE Cube Thinker Tablet PC Kubi Li-Po

Replacing the battery is very easy. The original OEM battery body is held in place by screws so it’s easy to remove. Disconnecting the power cable is also very easy, just use your fingernails to gently wiggle it out. Putting the new battery in place is simple, it’s held there with black tape that the seller gives you. So yes, you can replace the battery.

Confirmed – I’ve been working on my Thinker lately so I have my WowStick here and I just looked at the bit – it’s a T5.

OK so I was right – my hyperlink was messing up my post. And I’m seeing now that I can’t post a link no matter how I try – maybe links have been switched off for the forums? Anyway if you want to find the battery I mentioned above, look for it on Aliexpress using these search terms:

regarding battery replacement, check the jumper forum

Hmm interesting, so knowing it’s 7,6A and measuring the battery physical size you basically have everything you need to search through AliExpress. I might try that ?

If you find a battery let us know ? I started on AliExpress and then searched on other sites and couldn’t find one. Here are the measurements I took when I opened my Thinker.

Oh and I forgot to mention that the issue of warranty repair was never questioned by BG – I bought the laptop in September 2017 and they let me know I could have it repaired under warranty. The only drawback was shipping it back to China – they would share 50% of the cost of return, which they immediately refunded to my PayPal account once I verified the shipping details in an email. Even though the repair would cost me an additional USD $35 I’m satisfied because the laptop is worth it.

I just want to offer my experience with BG’s customer service, which has been good. Firstly I’ve ordered a lot of items from BG and have never had a problem with delivery. However a laptop I purchased last year developed a battery problem. When I contacted customer service they responded the next day with options. We continued back and forth for a few weeks as I decided what I wanted to do, and every time I emailed the BG representative I would receive a response the next day. So I would rate their communication as excellent. I’m awaiting the return of my repaired laptop now and I’m confident BG will keep me informed as to its shipment back.

Nope, no luck finding a replacement. It was hard for a couple of reasons, the first being that I don’t have any experience with laptop batteries so knowing exactly what to look for was tough. Second reason is I think the battery is probably specialized for the laptop in terms of dimensions- you can’t buy any battery pack off the shelf and expect you’re going to be able to slap it in. It has to fit the precise space the laptop designed the battery to fit in. Even if I could find Cube’s battery supplier I doubt they’d sell me a single unit :).

I sent my Thinker back to Banggood for replacement of the battery under warranty. Kudos to BG for standing behind their stuff.

Hi and welcome.  I’ve not heard of the HI 35, are you talking about the Corebook? I saw that on Indiegogo, 13.3″ Core-M 7Y30 here.  Regarding support, I only have experience with Chinese sellers like Banggood, I’ve never gone straight to manufacturers so can’t tell you anything there.  Sellers have been pretty responsive in my experience, for example I’m shipping back a laptop for warranty repair right now.  The only problem is shipping costs, you typically have to work out a deal with them to cover all or part of that cost.  That’s the price of buying from China I suppose.

Thx for your idea – interesting…what effect would a bios reset have in this case?  I’m open to all options at this point.  Thanks again.
