it resets the colors back to the cold blue colors again

That’s igfx (Intel graphics settings) ‘tricks’ to reload default profile. Use DispCalGui app to proper color profile handling.

DispCalGui doesn’t want to load the provided icm file.

I bought an ASUS Netook adapter and replaced the wire with the one from the adapter that came with the laptop. Works like a champ!

I just installed it 30 minutes ago, I’m using it now. Updated to the local drive and no problems. By any chance, did you have auto updates running and all updates installed prior to the update?

I’m pretty sure it’s not possible. Is it even possible to boot MacOS on an N3450?

Still no one that has a clue how to get the intel AHCI drivers on the intel platform?

I am surprised not more people have this issue. I wonder what can I do to solve it, because until then the laptop is only halfway working….

On my laptop which is still running the original install of windows it is using the the Microsoft Windows driver: 10.0.15063.608. That’s from 2006, which I’m betting is the same one you have installed.

Just ran ‘Life is Strange’ the computer game (it uses the Unreal 4.0 graphics engine) to test power draw.

BIOS setting @ 10W limit, yet HDInfo reports 13W TDP.

    All a bit strange!

You have to look at the time setting as well. The laptop will allow itself to spike well above the 9w limit, but only for a short amount of time. You can set this to as low as 1 second, but the default is 48 seconds I think. I’ve tried playing around with both the power limit and time limit and haven’t really found it to change the battery life very much. You only really need the power limit off for gaming, then it will stay around 14w for longer periods of time.

I get about 4 hours of battery life doing stuff like web browsing. Brightness at 100%, max power limit at the default 9W TDP in the BIOS, both USB ports used. The Windows 10 battery estimate is hopelessly inaccurate.

No idea how everyone else gets 7-8 hours.

It’s one disappointing aspect of this laptop .

I get around 5:30 hours, but I usually have the brightness at 40% and do not use the usb ports. Mostly just surfing the net and watching videos.

    I ordered this one:

I”m not bothered if the tip isn’t the same, I can change it with the charger that came with my laptop.

I ordered a replacement for the old Asus EEE laptops. I’ll let you know how it goes when I get it. They’re super cheap on ebay.

I’m guessing he’s a pro or semi pro player. In which case, no this laptop is probably to cut it. It will play broodwar perfectly fine, but they keyboard might not be responsive enough for the speed of key presses he’s used to giving in a tournament.

Or he got a faulty system. For me, this system is perfect for the games I want to play. However, it’s back to studying for me. New exam coming up.

I can tell you that v1 and v4 have the same power adapter – I have both. In my opinion the difference in behavior (if led is turning green when fully charged) comes from jumper playing with declared values – battery full charge capacity and designed capacity (which on v4 are both the same 48000mWh, but on v1 designed is 48000 mWh and fully charged is 53010mWh). On v1 when the charge reached 48000 the led turned green, on my v4 it never does.

These values are overstated=WRONG (should be around 36000mWh). It is a little dirty trick Jumper do to get better windows remaining time on battery estimate, which is calculated based on capacity / current power. Anyway I tested both chargers with power metter and both terminate charge correctly even though led doesnt turn green on v4.

Is there a way to change this with a software update, or is it hardware?

I bought a new charger and it was delivered today:

    Powseed 36W AC Multi Voltage 5V 6V 7.5V 9V 12V 13.5V 15V Power Adapter Supply Switching DC

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XK9TXBB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_MP8ZzbZRJ08WT

And when plugged into the ezbook the static sensation is exactly the same. So not a charger issue must be related to this version of ezbook (assuming this issue is not in any other version?).

    Well that’s certainly odd.
I looked into this happening on the old macbook pros and found this thread at apple:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4087798?tstart=0

Basically it looks like apple was saying it’s a known issue and not a hazard.
