November 26, 2017 at 11:45 am #75377USB network dongle works fine on the HI12 on the Windows side since drivers are available. No way to make it work on the android side since, … to my knowledge, no drivers are implemented , nor available.
Just another point of clarification ther is no such thing as 5G wifi, there is wifi n with two frequency ranges,
2.4 Ghz or 5 Ghz, I suspect this is what you ment?
I have also tried a USB to ethernet adapter, same issue, works fine on the windows side doesn’t on Android.

September 16, 2017 at 6:58 pm #72215Ran in the same problem, with W7, fortunately I had an old XP, which solved the problem. But I read somewhere that drivers for W7 do exist.

September 6, 2017 at 6:11 pm #71671Follow up to my previous post.
I have updated my Windows 10 to Creator version 1703 with no problem just using The Microsoft utility Mediacreation tool.exe.
I also have tested the new Macrium Backup free version.
It just work fine and I was able to make a full image of the drive.
The back up works fine but the incremental backup is only available in the paid version.
Since I had no need to restore my system I didn’t test it, just keep my fingers crossed
September 6, 2017 at 11:36 am #71656I have read a lot of bad comments on the HI pen. Did anybody ever checked if the Microsoft stylus for surface pro 3 works on the Chuwi Hi12?
They are supposed to have the same screen?
Now to answer the windows 10 migration issue, I have successfully upgraded in a first step to version to version 1603 and then to creator simply using the microsoft update tools through Media creation tools.
August 11, 2017 at 4:02 pm #70472Hi,
I am a long time opera user. (something like 10 years) first on NOKIA and Windows and then on all my Android devices. I just say that I almost never had a problem with it. ( except for some banking applications which are picky and support only Microsoft, Google and Apple). I have used it on my Chuwi 12 since I got it both on the Android side as well as on the Windows. I currently use it on 3 Windows devices 3 Android devices and even on two IOS one. everything get perfectly synched and try browser is quite fast with some option to save data transmission. Now it takes quite of a level of expertise to work out all the settings and get the most out of it.
February 14, 2017 at 10:36 pm #62212I went into the same issue. I did change the BIOS setting with no effect. I finally got the things work with a micro HDMI cable and an external monitor
February 14, 2017 at 10:29 pm #62211I have tried many backup software. The only one working is Macrium. A few month ago only the paid version was working. According to the spec of the new free version it should also work. I will try soon. I have just upgraded to Windows 19 1607. In 1607 as in previous release it is impossible to save a system image with the Microsoft feature.

Had the same problem. I when I format an external SD card connected to the usb port of the chuwi.
I then format it on my PC ( NTFS).
When I tried to read it on the Chuwi USB port it was not recognized.
When I connect it on the SS USB 3.0 port it worked fine.
December 31, 2016 at 8:17 pm #59594Thats possibly a stupid question but to clarify the situation for me. First you do as nicolas-giraud sad on page 1 and after these steps you use use any possibility (like Rashr or the “official way”) to flash the TWRP Image on the tablet, which Konstantin Matvievsky on page 2 provides? Or do i have to replace one file on nicolas girauds tutorial with the new image? Thank you in advance.
Hi william,
I wonder if you did get an answer to your question? either through this forum or by PM?
I have the same one and would like to know before trying .
Thanks
Henry
October 3, 2016 at 9:24 pm #52607No problem, as a mater of fact this is how I was able to write an emergency recovery boot CD.
July 10, 2016 at 6:13 am #43053I have connected a dongle (netgear Wna 1000) it works great on the Windows side. On Android I have not yet found à way to get it detected. Still searching, any clue would be welcome.

June 6, 2016 at 5:45 am #39966Bill you did a great job, I am still waiting delivery for my stuff from Ali express and my tablet is still open. I will try in the coming days to add some informations to your tutorial aimed at people with no previous experience in disassembly, checking, and working on high tech circuit boards.
