If the SSD you have installed isn’t showing, it’s prob because it isn’t compatible, go into boot options, If your SSD isn’t shown there then it hasn’t recognised it
April 26, 2019 at 10:18 pm #151527The thermal mod does work great, but the only way I can get this thing running at full power(14w+) is to do the software mod with RW-Everything. I have disabled the CPU 1 state in advanced CPU settings in the bios, so it should be able to run at 14-15w indefinitely , but it only runs at this wattage for about 10 seconds, then throttles back to 6w max. I have also disabled active cooling in Windows 10 so It isn’t that. With RE-Eerything set to 15w it stays at 14+ for as long as the programme, or game demands, but with just the TDP disabled in the bios it will revert back to 6w max, bit disappointing as the unlocked bios was one the reasons I went for the Teclast. And I didn’t want to keep running the software every time when booting up.

October 15, 2018 at 5:29 pm #147652EZBook X4 – memory upgrade EZBook X4 in the fix thermals video (8-July-2018) was shown with a free BGA RAM socket. As best I can tell from that video it seemed to me that the surface mount capacitors and resistors for the installed RAM chip were also in place on the motherboard for the unpopulated socket. Because of my aged eyesight, Chinese prices that I can afford, and the requirements of small repairs to phones and SBCs, I’ve got a 20X/40X 3D microscope, separate USB Digital 5GB Camera Microscope Magnifier 1X-500X, solder rework station with temperature controlled hot-air gun (and selection of nozzles), non-contact IR temperature gun, as well as associated bits and pieces, and cleaning substances, various fluxes. In fact everything anyone would need to install a BGA chip, and any required miniature surface mount components. I believe that I would be able to get full specifications and application data for the BGA RAM in the X4 that I would buy – and I would trust that I should be able to buy another somewhere. On the basis that if ai’nt broke don’t fix it, I also assume that the Aptio configurations for the AMI BIOS have not been disabled with respect to two-RAM chip configuration, but I’d be obliged if someone would check please. Now that the TN screen has been swapped for an IPS screen, and this X4 is the only one in its class with a RAM upgradeable motherboard, I would like to buy one and upgrade the RAM to 8GB. While I would not attempt reballing a BGA chip, I believe I’m competent enough to install a new BGA chip onto a preconfigured motherboard. The only reservation in the case of the X4 is: what is on the other side of the motherboard, opposite the RAM sockets? Would Chris-G please have a look and post a photograph? Brian
If you did upgrade your ram would love to see a video of how you did it, let us know how you get on please, im just a bit gutted about it being only 4gb or ram, i have mine order and if it could be upgraded to 8gb it would make it a great notebook instead of just a good one 🙂
October 13, 2018 at 10:51 am #1476241. Open Notepad 2. Write (or copypaste) there the command which raises the tdp limit 3. Save the file “tdp.bat” on the same directory where is the RW-everything program (rw.exe) 4. Drag and drop the tdp.bat on the desktop with second mouse button and choose make a shortcut Now when you double-click the shortcut it runs the .bat file which contains the rw-command from here. Profit.
Hi and thanks for this, i having a bit of a problem when trying to do this, when i try to save the bat file into the RWEverything directory it tells me i dont have admin permission, ive checked my username and I definitely have full control, so that is weirdd. And also it asks me not save it in ANSI, Do i choose Unicode from the drop down list instead ? The way i have been doing it is just saving it into my user file, then copy and pasting it into the RWEverything directory
ty 🙂
October 13, 2018 at 7:26 am #147621Great thank you, I’ve cancelled now though and gone for the X4 version 2.
October 12, 2018 at 5:06 pm #147607Did anyone attach an EXE thats sets the TDP to 15w or unlimited ? Ive just read through the whole thread and can only see the 10w EXE attached, on page 1 i think, Also in regards to making a shortcut in RWEverything, is it just better to make a BAT file and put it on the RWEverything folder ?
Thanks

October 11, 2018 at 8:29 pm #147589I have my Ebook 3L Pro on order, my question is this, Are all the download files for the Ezbook Pro 3, drivers, bios etc, compatible with the Ezbook Pro 3L ?
Thank you in advance
March 28, 2016 at 3:43 pm #31117Yes perfectly. My X98 (A5C8) has deleted all Android zone and only use Windows 10. 46Gb free after reinstall on “C” drive.
Ty, i had already ordered a genuine Samsung 64GB Evo from Amazon, it didnt work (, I’m running the latest version of Windows and have the latest Bios installed, seems to me the only real safe bet is buying a class 4 Micro SD card
March 27, 2016 at 2:01 pm #31006I was in the same problem, and simply updating the BIOS has been fixed. I checked the speed of reading and writing is even better than those specified by the SDCard
Im just about to order a 64GB micro SD, did this card work in Windows ?
March 26, 2016 at 2:04 pm #30927I just bit the bullet and went for a class 4 Kingston 32gb card, this worked NP ), I think all class 4 cards will work, not sure about class 6 though, would be interesting to see if anybody has a class 6 card that works
March 25, 2016 at 4:45 pm #30849With the Driver from the top of this page I can make the SD up briefly. When I access it, it disappears.
Exactly what happens to me, unless you can get a genuine compatible card then the SD slot is useless in Windows basically, theres not an actual link in this thread to an exact make and model of a micro sd card that will work, i need at least a 64 GB card.
March 24, 2016 at 5:36 pm #30751Just a warning about the non signed driver installation to get any memory card to be recognized in Windows. If your reboot from Android using any of the boot to Windows options. the memory card completely dissappears again, or it has a code 10 error. I have tried tried re-installing the non signed drivers but once its done, theres no way back so to speak, you would either have to find a memory card that is compatible, or re-install Windows, not good really.
March 21, 2016 at 5:27 pm #30275This may have been posted before but I found this way of re-installing the Dual firmware for the tablet really easy :
The handy little trick in there is how to boot a Windows USB drive straight from the BIOS without even having a Windows partition on the tablet, its much easier way to re-install windows I found.
