I read that problem of reading Micro SD in other places, it seems that the Micro SD card reader is of poor quality in the Corebook.

For the past few days, I have been receiving an OTA, anonymous, “download a network update” notification on my Hi9. Nothing about the publisher, security, etc., of the update …nothing, just a statement about “minor bug fixes” to improve network speed. My Hi9 is sterile, an entertainment device, so I tried the “update”, and when it rebooted during installation, the android bot had a red triangle in its belly with “Error” displayed. I did the power/volume fastboot, and got the OS back. So… Chuwi messed up big time: 1) anonymous, non-certificated update that 2) failed. If anyone does get the update to work, please post.

What does Tablet mean, Hi9 or Hi9 Air?

Hi, i did not root my chuwi hi10 plus but when i installed an app that checks for rooted device, i cannot run the app. I read up that it is due to the device being partially rooted at factory due to dualboot. I read about xposed and rootcloak but when i install xposed installer, there is a warning that says:”verified boot(dm-verity) prevents the device from booting if the system partition is modified. Installing xposed is not recommended!” I did not proceed from here as i did not want to risk bricking the device. Any pros out here can help, or anyone who has overcome this issue can help? Thanks in advance!

How was the Root process you did?

Have you looked at doing it this way?
Make sure you have the files corresponding to your serial number and tablet model before you start modifying the tablet.

Flashing the TWRP and then insert the corresponding verity zip with your tablet.

Rather, I think it’s a driver issue if the touch screen does not work after installing Windows from a Microsoft ISO. You have to find the corresponding drivers for the tablet model and install it on your computer, then everything has to work correctly. I recommend enabling the installation of unsigned drivers in Windows before going to restore the drivers.

The partitions that correspond to Windows in the dual Tablet are usually 12,13,14 and 15. This tutorial helped me to restore the dual boot Tablet: https://forum.chuwi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=2254&extra=page%3D1%26filter%3Dtypeid%26typeid%3D30 Watch the step of updating the BIOS DO NOT REALIZE it. Start from step II install Android, then install Windows as there is indicated. You must use the corresponding files for your Tablet. Well, it is normal that once the tablet only has Android installed it jumps in the start menu only the option to boot in Android, if it is fixed it is possible that it also leaves a letter W. If you do not have the corresponding files for your Tablet, tell me the serial number and model of the Tablet and I’ll help you find them. You can find the serial number recorded on the back of the Tablet. As I do not know what method you have used to install Android I recommend you do what I told you before: 1 install Android 2 install Windows Greetings.

Thanks for the reply, to confirm I’ve already installed Android 5.1 stock and it is working. I would like to know if there is any updated versions of Android EG 6 Marshmallow or 7 Nougat or even 8 Oreo? And could someone provide links to them? I need to get windows 10 working What do I need to download to get windows 10 working I’ve created a USB boot drive with the latest version of windows 10 on but when I try to install it I receive the following error message: ACPI BIOS error Tablet serial number Q64G42161104047 Thanks

    Hello,

No, unfortunately no higher version of Android is available for the first edition Hi10.

To install Windows, now I see that does not allow to enter the forum of Chuwi to find the links corresponding to the serial number of your tablet, so the option would be creating a USB bootable, but it is rare the error message that you get.
Have you installed Android using the flash.json file so that the tablet is completely formatted?

I explain how it would be to install Windows with a Microsoft ISO, You need a Windows 10 ISO home, created with Media cretion tool from the Microsoft website

Once the prepared pendrive turns on the tablet and press F7 to have the boot menu and select the usb with Windows. The installation will begin, when it says where to install, we give it to the custom.

    Now two cases can arise:
1- We find some partitions that are those that contain Android and in the end one that puts unallocated space, which is where we choose to install Windows and it is expected to be installed.

2- All partitions are occupied and have to be touched.
We delete the partitions 12, 13, 14, 15 and create unallocated space.
Once Windows starts, the drivers will be missing, in this case, we are in it because now the manufacturer’s forum is down and does not let in.

To solve the issue of the drivers would be to download them from the download section of this forum, looking for their Hi10 drivers tablet model https://techtablets.com/downloads-drivers-roms/

If during the afternoon I see that the Chuwi forum works I will send you a new answer with the links to download the files corresponding to Windows according to the serial number of your tablet.

    Greetings.

So I recently tried to upgrade my Chuwi Hi10 to windows 10 pro creators edition x64 and I wanted to keep the android + windows 10 dual boot So I plugged in my USB stick containing a newly downloaded windows 10 created from MS media creation tool. I stupidly formatted all partitions Now I have successfully re-installed Android 5.1 stock but now I am left with just the Android boot option at start up I have tried plugging in my USB stick and booting from it but whenever the windows installer comes up it crashes saying ACPI BIOS error I’ve been trying to follow the guide on this page:

Install/restore Android stock and Windows 10 x64 on Chuwi Hi10

<iframe class=”wp-embedded-content” style=”position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);” title=”“Install/restore Android stock and Windows 10 x64 on Chuwi Hi10” — TechTablets” src=”https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/installrestore-android-stock-and-windows-10-x64-on-chuwi-hi10-dualos/embed/#?secret=P5wsLRHqwY&#8221; width=”600″ height=”338″ frameborder=”0″ marginwidth=”0″ marginheight=”0″ scrolling=”no” sandbox=”allow-scripts” data-secret=”P5wsLRHqwY” data-mce-fragment=”1″></iframe> But I’m stuck, I copied all the files to my USB stick overwriting the originals… but I still get the error. do I need a particular version of windows or can I use the one I’ve created? Once windows is re-installed, how do I get the dual boot menu back? I’ve already got a copy of all the drivers Also I noticed Screen rotate does not work on Android anymore… Help greatly appreciated.

Hellow , I bought chuwi hibook pro last year, one day it was happen battery went too low,and i was unable to recharge using its charger, only Power LED was blinking and later tab went off completely,i took out battery to boost it,but nothing worked.Later i find some solution in which it say it could be bios corrupted,I bought CH41A programmer and flashed a bios but still have the same issue, can anyone help with this scenario pleease?

If the load led at the time blinked, I think I should have left the tablet all night charging and then force the power on the tablet by pressing the power button more than a minute to see if it got response from the tablet.

Are you sure you have used the correct Bios for your tablet model?
In the https://forum.chuwi.com/ there is a thread of the Hibook to request the file of the bios for your tablet, it is necessary to indicate the serial number that is recorded in the back part of the equipment. (Wait for tomorrow, today the forum does not work)

Thanks, it worked. Any idea of the reason for this problem?

I suppose that the battery charge was exhausted to minimum values and for that reason it cost a little more to turn on. If you use the tablet with the keyboard, once you turn off the computer you must wait for a few seconds until the keyboard led turns off completely to lower the cover, otherwise it could influence battery consumption. Normally the keyboard does not consume battery to leave it connected to the tablet, but it costs nothing to wait a few seconds to turn off all the LEDs.

Hi I have a similar problem. Yesterday evening everything was fine but this morning the tablet doesn’t switch on. If I plug the charger, the led is blinking. What should I do? Additional information : I use the tablet to supply an Arduino nano board, but it usually does not create any kind of problem. Thanks for your help

Charge the tablet for several hours, then do a long press of the power button.

I understand, the 32Gb tablet with dual operating system is a nuisance so little space available.

I think not where I can verify which one is correct, my serial number is PQ32G221708XXXX. you help me where I can get it additional I could install the remix os 2.0 and everything works wonders until you anchor a bluethooth mouse, less the tactil

I think there is no TWRP available for the serial number of your tablet, I only see for 2016 yours is from 2017
    Check this link: https://forum.chuwi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1259&extra=page%253D1&page=1

And this I think is the Android version that works for your tablet, so the serial number says: http://www.mediafire.com/file/3jwfmd4lt9vt46b/Hi80PQ32G22170801997Android.rar

You can install this version of Android and verify as if the touch works, use the “flash-no-erase-all.json” option to avoid losing Windows.

Can someone please help me…</span>

Hello, is that I think there are several versions of TWRP for that tablet, you have to find the correct one for your tablet’s compilation number, as long as it is available. The same thing happens with the Android versions for the tablet, each serial number has a different Rom file, are you sure you used the correct one?
