This one is for those of you asking for a comparison between the Chuwi Hi13 and the Hi12. Hopefully, this will clear things up on which suits your needs best. And if that $100 extra for the newer Hi13 is worth it or not, I think it is but it all depends on what you want the tablet for. So there is a big price difference: The Chuwi Hi13 is...[Read More]
The Chuwi Hi12, which I regard as one of the best dual boot tablets for the price, has quietly been upgraded to the newer revised Atom X5 Z8350 processor, no doubt due to the fact Chuwi simply just ran out of the old Z8300 stock. The newer Z8350 isn’t worth upgrading to if you own the Z8300 model as it’s only a tiny bit faster...[Read More]
The comparison many of you have been asking for, both of these 12″ tablets are very similar with the exact same specs, Atom X5 Z8300, 4GB DDR3L 1600Mhz RAM, 64GB eMMC, Wireless N. And both run Android 5.1 and Windows 10 Home. The key differences are stylus support, their screens and battery life. I won’t go into benchmarks as ...[Read More]
Two days ago Chuwi released a new updated bios that fixes the powering off issue once lower than 40% battery. And the wifi disconnection issue (Never experienced this one myself). I’ve managed to get my Hi12 down to 3% without random any powering off so it would seem the issue is fixed. If I find any other issues I’ll be sure ...[Read More]
Chuwi announced at CES Asia today the Hi12 will also be coming with Remix OS installed. No details yet on what version they will be shipping it out with (Hopefully one built on Android 6). If it will be dual boot still with Remix or the release date, hopefully, this will info will be available soon. If you haven’t seen Remix it̵...[Read More]
Banggood’s Stylus for the Hi12 turned out to be the real deal, the official Chuwi HiPen. I’ve just tested it out briefly in the below unboxing and test video. The stylus looks exactly like the Teclast X3 Pro one. Same build, just missing the logo but it must run on other frequency which is why it didn’t work on the Hi12....[Read More]
I’ve had some time on with the Android side of the Dual OS Chuwi Hi12 and I can report back that it’s a good edition to the Hi12, the ROM is fast and light. There are only a few bloat apps and they can all be uninstalled (No root required for that) The tablet is ideal for Google Play Books, gaming in general apart from the mos...[Read More]

If you missed the YouTube video I posted a few days ago on the channel you would have seen I got hold of my Chuwi Hi12 Dual OS from Banggood. (The video is below) At first, I thought the ROM was 100% bloat free, but just to be 100% sure, I did a factory reset and there were about 5 Chinese apps that were there on first boot, luckily they ...[Read More]
Here’s some more info on the stylus used on the Hi12, it’s called the HiPen H1. It looks like the same pen I have for the Teclast X3 Pro I’m waiting on and it’s common for manufacturers to use the same hardware and ODM to supply the stylus used on their tablets. And it also looks like the Cube iwork10 Ultimate styl...[Read More]
