I had this problem as well but it was the charger itself that failed due to it’s low quality, currently I am using the USB-C PD charger that Dell bundles with their Latitude 7400 laptops and it works perfectly, their WD19 docking USB-C PD station also works.
September 4, 2020 at 6:48 am #183895I use both the Nintendo Switch AC adapter and the Dell WD19 dock to charge mine.

December 2, 2017 at 1:43 am #75571You cannot brick an intel based windows tablet by attempting to install an OS, it is a regular PC not a limited android tablet.
November 7, 2017 at 4:37 am #74496You need a USB-PD charger that supports 12V 2A
October 27, 2017 at 3:29 am #73991This is the charger I got, claims USB-PD spec and 12v 2a https://www.amazon.ca/iKits-Verified-Charger-Chromebook-included/dp/B01EN3HPUW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1508381267&sr=8-1&keywords=iKits%2B(CE%2FFCC%2BVerified)%2BType-C%2BPD%2B2-port%2BUSB-C%2BTravel%2BCharger&th=1
October 19, 2017 at 2:50 am #73636I am finally able to charge the tablet via USB-C using a proper USB-PD charger and proper USB-C cable that is rated up to 100w (overkill for this tab but the key is using a USB-PD charger the properly utilizes PD and this one seems to do so). It is a good thing to because the provided power adapter is trash as it is already failing as the tablet is constantly losing the current from it (few seconds charge then few seconds no charge, rinse and repeat) https://www.amazon.ca/iKits-Verified-Charger-Chromebook-included/dp/B01EN3HPUW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1508381267&sr=8-1&keywords=iKits%2B(CE%2FFCC%2BVerified)%2BType-C%2BPD%2B2-port%2BUSB-C%2BTravel%2BCharger&th=1

October 1, 2017 at 7:59 pm #72899Thanks very much for your help
Would you happen to have a link to a guide for rooting the HiBook Pro? And just wondering, is there any indication that Chuwi are about to release a successor to this tablet? I guess it’s quite old now and I don’t want to order it and find its immediately been superseded!
There is nothing to root as this is basically a windows computer, you just install your OS of choice like any other computer. For multi-OS boot you would need a boot manager to achieve this which is what Chuwi had to do.
October 1, 2017 at 7:55 pm #72898The teclast pen is just a useless pointer as it does not have palm rejection, if you can just return it for a refund and use a generic plastic rubber tipped stylist.
October 1, 2017 at 7:49 pm #72897just a reminder that setting the ram to 1600 is not enough, there another other setting you have to apply to adjust the power for this (on the same config page just below the speed setting) but its been a while since I have done it thus the name of it is slipping my mind but the answer is in this forum.
August 16, 2017 at 12:21 am #70677I don’t think the pen has an eraser function as it doesn’t erase for me and I do not see any mention of it on their site unless I overlooked something.
April 25, 2017 at 4:38 am #65965odd, do a clean install
April 18, 2017 at 4:33 am #65526I did a clean install of Win 10 CU as mine came in today and the auto dim is not working as it always leaves it to the lowest value, was working ok with AU build. Not a deal breaker for me those, I just leave it around 25%.
