Yeah, just tried it (Chris suggested that as well).
It’s working again!
I did what you and Chris said – opened the case, unplugged the battery, left it for a while (overnight) and then charged it up fully before turning it on again!
It must have been some BIOS /Â boot glitch as it’s working again now.
Phew!

February 26, 2018 at 8:02 pm #95572My one (v4) has developed the exact same fault. Really not impressed how dodgy the reliability of these cheap laptops are đ
Trying to let the battery drop to zero but the blue light never goes completely off.
Sometimes it boots to the Jumper screen but it doesn’t go any further.
Help!! :-/
January 15, 2018 at 11:18 pm #77040January 14, 2018 at 11:29 pm #76956It says this though:
“Warning: Even if youâve installed patches from Windows Update, your PC may not completely protected from the Meltdown and Spectre CPU flaws. Hereâs how to check if youâre fully protected, and what to do if you arenât.
To fully protect against Meltdown and Spectre, youâll need to install a UEFI or BIOS update from your PCâs manufacturer”
December 9, 2017 at 6:03 pm #75748I had terrible keyboard lag on Lenovo Y50. It’s often caused by a Windows / driver issue ie software rather than hardware.
That said, the keyboard on the Jumper is poor – needs a lot of force for keystrokes and not great for touch typing – but that’s not the same as lag.
December 9, 2017 at 5:59 pm #75747I think I reposted nearly everything from my lost thread but I missed the benchmark. Here you go.
I don’t have an Enhancements tabs in Speakers properties?
What am I doing wrong?
December 5, 2017 at 2:04 pm #75650Haven’t tried it at 800×600 on Apollo Lake but even on a 47W i5/860m gaming laptop with GTA V at 1080p/medium settings, the game slows to less than 30fps with occasional lag on some of the ‘busier’ scenes.
Can’t image it will play well on an Apollo Lake even at 800×600 low. GTV is just ridiculously demanding in terms of graphical performance.

November 17, 2017 at 6:43 am #74948Just use the tip of a black Sharpie / Felt Tip Pen and dab a tiny spot of black ink on top of the LED.
October 26, 2017 at 10:32 pm #73989Keyboard input lag isn’t unique to this laptop – it’s a Windows issue that can be found even in high end laptops. My top end Lenovo gaming laptop suffered from occasional keyboard typing lag – anything of help in the article below? I simply did a quick Google.

October 21, 2017 at 7:49 pm #73754Here’s a tip for creating things like single press Vol +/- functions, Page Up/Down etc.
Use remapping software such as SharpKeys or ATNsoft KeyRemapper to create your required keys.
I have single press F1+F2 as Vol +/- and single press F11/F12 as Page Up/Down.
Still haven’t figured out a single press for Brightness +/- though….. :-/
October 19, 2017 at 11:40 pm #73670So I finally had some time to work on this thing today. Sadly it looks itâs simply broken. At ânormal startupâ, the laptop shows the Jumper logo and the turning circle. After a few seconds, the screen turns black (but is still one). When i move the mouse the cursor appears for a few seconds, sometimes showing a blue turning circle. Sometimes it crashes to blue in this state, with different exceptions. I can access Windows Rcovery, however: â âFix Startupâ yields no results â Reset device breaks after 20%, saying that there was an error and I have to restart. â Restore points are unavaillable so i cannot restore â I can choose âInstall from Diskâ and access the hard drive and i see all the files, 3 partitions, file structures of Windows but cannot do anything else with it â I have tried making a bootable USB stick with Cloudready (Chrome OS) and it does boot, however shows only a white line in the upper right corner and freezes A minute ago i finished making a Bootable USB Drive with Windows 10 and it actually launches! At least it shows the language selection screen. However, i have written Gearbest and did not get a reponse yet asking specifically if over-installing the system voids the warranty / return process in case the lapotp will still be broken afterwards.
Did you up the speed of you eMMC in the BIOS? If so, put it back to DDR50 (ie the lowest setting) as the crappy eMMC supplied with the v4 can’t handle the higher speeds and produces errors.
October 19, 2017 at 11:36 pm #73668Use SharpKeys or KeyRemapper apps to bind PageUp/Down to keys on the keyboard that you rarely use.
