I understand your frustration. At the end I persuaded my Chinese friend to exchange her hub with mine, which was new, because I couldn’t make the laptop work with any other hub (I needed video out and five different hubs that I bought from amazon didn’t work). Maybe the easiest way is to ask to the Spanish youtuber about the exact model of the power bank he used.
October 19, 2019 at 5:06 am #181874I think there’s a big compatibility problem between USB type-c chargers/power banks/hubs and the USB type-c connector on some of these Chinese devices. Last year I bought a Teclast F6 pro and it will only work with one USB type-c hub bought in China, while another five of different makers will not work. A replacement unit of this laptop was delivered to me and a type-c charger will stop working randomly some times. There’s a reason while these laptops are cheap.

September 23, 2019 at 5:01 am #181704The Chuwi lapbook pro would be your best bet right now. Try to get the 256GB SSD 8GB ram version.
September 22, 2019 at 2:05 pm #181699My recommendation:
Take the partial refund and take it to a PC repair shop. Don’t send it back to China. They’ll probably say the laptop can’t be repaired and will not send it back to you (this happened to my with Gearbest).

August 2, 2019 at 4:34 pm #181451I own the N4100 processor model and I don’t know if you can still get it as the last time I saw it they were selling it with a N4000 processor. Regarding the performance I use it mostly to browse the internet, youtube, maybe a little netflix and reading books in the Kindle application. I recommend using Edge browser as memory usage and processor will be soon overwhelmed after opening more than ten tabs. Also the battery life is on average 4-5 hours. The folio type cover is very bulky so if this is a problem for you I recommend you buying the Teclast X4 instead. However, the Knote 5 is much cheaper, I got mine on sale for 265 USD which I think it’s insanely cheap. For the price and the usage I completely recommend it, still I wish it had a kickstand and a much lighter type cover.
July 25, 2019 at 3:30 pm #181402What’s the fault rate of this computer?
Last year I bought one only to start failing after six months of use, charging problems, ssd not being recognized etc. Returned it for a free repair and they say they couldn’t repair it. Did they return it to me? of course not, because they “lost it”. Super angry I asked for a full refund because regardless it was my laptop and they lost it. After fighting for about two weeks they agreed to send me a new one for 100 USD, which I reluctantly accepted. Three months later the new laptop failed as well, it won’t charge with USB type C and it will take me some days to be able to use the charger that came with the laptop since I didn’t bring it with me.
I am afraid that even with that cable it will not power on, so already thinking what to say to these people of Gearbest.
What a headache.
May 26, 2019 at 11:59 am #151985I didn’t and I regret not having done so. I sent my laptop and they said they couldn’t repair it. Naturally, I demanded my laptop back and they said that they couldn’t send it back because they can’t tell which one was mine among the many returned items. Yes, they effing lost my laptop. After a very long argument with two of their agents, they agreed to send me a new one for 100 USD. So I ended paying 100 USD for the replacement, plus 50 USD for the shipping cost of the faulty one.
Don’t ever return your items to these people if the 45 days of reimbursement have passed, even if they press you to send them to have them repaired. I don’t know what they were intending by saying that they would try to repair it to later said “sorry, we can’t and we also lost it”. Seriously WTF.
April 26, 2019 at 11:56 pm #151530Is it the 7Y30 model? I did a clean installation of windows 10 Home and it was as snappy as it came when the chinese version of Windows was installed. I don’t know about windows 10 Pro, but to be 100% sure I guess you are going to have to do clean install.
March 17, 2019 at 3:40 am #150828This is the last couple of messages that we exchanged. As I expected they will not return the laptop back to me.
What can I do to at least recover it?

Maybe the laptop’s screen and the keyboard backlight are somehow connected or using the same circuitry? am I the only one bothered by this?
December 22, 2018 at 6:57 am #149402Was it working OK when you first boot it up? if not then I doubt it is a driver issue. I that case ask for a refund or for a replacement. Mine is working alright but I admit that these cheap devices are a lottery.
December 8, 2018 at 10:39 am #148911So, no one has the same scratched screen protector? I would like to remove it but I don’t know if the screen of this inexpensive 2-in-1 will be easily scratched or not.
November 18, 2018 at 10:27 am #148231For some reason this swipe down to minimize is not disabled with the DisableGestures.ahk script. Any ideas on how to solve this?
