All done. New setup with windows pro installed on ZTC and eMMC formatted acting as a second disk. Very happy with this purchase as all worked out fine with no big scares. Great value for money.
Hi Cardoso, please can you share where you purchased the ZTC from?

I did the latter and noticed an improvement in start up times and performance in general. HWiNFO is a great tool for finding out information about your system, it will tell you if you have a power limit set on the CPU. If it states “Unlimited” there isn’t a power limit set.
January 20, 2018 at 8:00 pm #77396Before performing a clean install of Windows 10 on my EZbook 3 Pro, I backed up all drivers using Double Driver. I made note of my Windows 10 product key using ProduKey.
I used the media creator tool from Microsoft to create a bootable USB for Windows 10. Changed boot order in the BIOS to boot from USB.
I deleted all partitions during the set up of Windows 10 and let it do it’s thing.
Restored drivers using Double Driver and downloaded the Intel driver assistant, checked for any updates, windows updates etc.
If you need any help, please feel free to private message me.
January 15, 2018 at 11:14 pm #77039Instead of buying another charger I bought an extension from ebay £1.99, works perfectly. If anything its too long now!! 3 Meter Extension Cable Switching 3.5mm x 1.35mm http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253176379515
I have this too, works great.
January 11, 2018 at 7:25 pm #76781Bloody brilliant, Liam! Power limits… How on earth did I forget that? LOL! You’re right, that fixed it. It was the power limit that was causing the problem. Thanks. ?
You’re very welcome Kenneth. I’m curious to see if I have any power limits set on the USB ports myself!
January 11, 2018 at 12:07 pm #76762Hi Liam, I did the same stuff you did. Yes, USB 2.0 & 3.0 both were restored. USB thumb drive works fine although it sometimes does disconnect on its own, mostly it’s just the external hard disk the refusing to connect. That’s why I’m scratching my head. BTW, when restoring the drivers from the V4 driver dump did you get any that failed? I seem to 2 that have failure reported can’t remember which ones but it’s definitely not USB 2.3/3.0 and it’s not affecting anything.
Hi Kenneth,
Double Driver reported no failures when I restored from the V4 driver dump in the downloads section.
A bit of a long shot but you may want to check if a power limit has been set on the USB ports.
January 10, 2018 at 11:18 pm #76731Hi Kenneth,
Did you restore both the USB 2.0 & 3.0 drivers?
I carried out a clean install of Windows 10 (Version 1709) on my EZBook 3 Pro V4 (SanDisk eMMC) the other day, with all available Windows Updates downloaded and installed.
I restored drivers from the V4 driver dump in the downloads section as well and I have not experienced any issues with USB devices.
January 9, 2018 at 12:40 am #76648Have you ran the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter in Windows 10? If it’s worked before, a recent Windows Update/change may be the culprit. If possible, I would recommend giving system restore a shot.
January 9, 2018 at 12:34 am #76647Sorry to necrobump this thread but I thought I would share.
I have this case from Amazon and it fits my EZbook 3 Pro perfectly and it is reasonably priced in my opinion.
January 8, 2018 at 8:35 pm #76623I have a v4 with SanDisk eMMC and the status light does not change to green when the battery is fully charged, anyone else experience this?
January 8, 2018 at 12:08 pm #76612I was going off Battery Bar…
When I have some downtime, I am going to perform a clean install of Windows 10 hopefully, this improves battery life.
January 7, 2018 at 2:25 pm #76583I’ve noticed this too even in battery saver mode…
January 5, 2018 at 11:19 pm #76537Great news Brian.
Just thought I should mention, I opened up my EZBook 3 Pro for the first time and I was surprised at how loose some of the screws were (Might explain the creaking sounds). I recommend tightening up the screws when you receive your replacement.
January 5, 2018 at 12:34 pm #76507Hi there,
I recommend HWiNFO to check system information, you can download the software here.
It will tell you about the power limit.
Chris’ very handy video shows you how to clone the OS on to an M.2 SSD from the eMMC amongst other useful tweaks here.
I recommend a clean install of Windows 10. You can find the EZBook 3 Pro drivers here.
