How about the SD card, look like it is very problematic on Windows side?

    I use mini tools.
IIRC any ext3 part > 7G will result is android not able to read it. Not sure was it a problem with my tablet of their android in general.

Both. I got my seller to ship me a rev 1 to replace my type-C DOA. Less than 3 weeks the rev1 sd card is gone and randomly shut down itself.

I gave up on it. I now beleive they use some sub-standard card reader which makes the situation much worst.

I start to think the problem is H/W related. Most likely they use some very low-quality cheap sd card connector.
They use sub-standard everything (RAM, storage, connectors … etc.) and for what? saving $10 USD per unit?

    1. why ext3 and not ext4?
Because ext4 is not stable on mine. It will keep on disconnecting in Android.

    2. why a 2nd ext3/4 partition next to the fat32… then you could also use NTFS or extFS instead of fat32 anyway if you don’t care about sharing the same files on one partition for both Android and Windows, like music, pictures or videos
I use link2SD to move android stuff to SD. If I put the ext3 fs in front of fat32, the iWork10 windows half will not read the fat32

    3. of course there is a drive letter assigned, otherwise it wouldn’t be mounted…
No that is the problem. The stupid iWork10 will try to mount the ext3 as a storage and fail.

    4. how would this solve the issue, that if you boot from Android to Windows, the drive is missing and you need to remove it and put it back in… it doesn’t matter if you have 2 partitions or 1 then
No. it won’t you have 2P. Windows will ignore the ext3 and you wont loose the drive.

    5. mine is a normal UHS-I it has 90/20 speed, it’s a Samsung EVO Plus, and it’s still having issues missing sometimes
I start to think it is a heat related issues (poor quality sd card reader? I can duplicate the lost 100% by warming that part of the case with a hair dryer.

    6. the problem could actually be, that fat32 normally just allows up to 32gb partitions under Windows. maybe that can trigger problems, if you have a 64 or 128gb card and format a single fat32 partition with an extra tool
I always use external tool to format the card and never run into probelm except of this piece of crap

It is a rather common problem with this device, especially for the type C.

Some Chinese website reported the problem is with the c connector. It is just a type C wire to a USB2, Cube just does not have the know how to wire it correctly. The power circuit will get burn out if a type C charger is not USB2 compatible (aka force too much current into the device).

Are you connecting it to a real type-C PC port? or a standard PC USB port? iWork10 c port is just a converter hooking up to an internal USB2. It didn’t get the spec right and it is a mess.

The C port will charge the table but it is NOT at type C spec. It is a type C converter hook up a micro USB internal port.

For the brief time I pay with this model type C, I notice it is missing:
    1. It maxes out at 1.5A and will not do 3A fast charging. It means that at least they get this part of the spec right and must have a resistor inline.
    2. It did not recognize any in cable chip.
    3. No Superspeed (aka missing SSTX and RX)
    4. No SUB1 (aka no sideband)

So it is no differ then you spend $2 to get a micro-USB to type C connector. It won’t be able to future proof the device either because no type C device will function correctly on this device because it will only see it as a USB 2 port.
