yes, I agree … except the keyboard or in particular the left shift key – that has become really annoying day in and out.

And keys got worn out pretty fast unfortunatelly. No spares available so end of life becomes in sight when you can not get used parts or slaughter nother device in favor to repair your own.

but beyond that it works, looks rock solid and the screen is still a beauty.

AND: i have not see any alternative in the past 2 years

At least this hub NEEDS a usb type C power supply to work with any hdmi screen regardless of its size – even 10 inch displays does not work without this power supplied hub – never had an experience with usb type c hubs before so pretty surprised. The card shipped with the hub said that the hub would get power from the laptop through its usb type c connection to the laptop.

When I run into the trouble that usb type hdmi out seems to not work I also checked to connect the i 35 to a wireless display created by adding a miracast dongle to that hdmi port of the monitor. That had worked great so I checked that miracast stuff again while connected via USB type C HDMI out to a 4 K screen. Worked quite well too, so now 3 displays in a row: laptop screen, usb type c hdmi out and wireless display. Great way to deal with even more complex needs and scenarios.

what did you do to make that hub working ?

I got it last year and was away from home since so I did not use it with a monitor. Now I started to connect and use it but I did not get any picture on the hdmi screen or tv or monitor … I bought it from the dx link mentioned above .

I am running i35 on windows 10 newest version 1903 – from may 2019. Any ideas ?

if you know it better than you will be on your own cause it doesn’t make sense to help.

Jumper is pretty strong in RC and Laptops and my first EZbook 3 Pro version 3 had a good amount of problems the support has tried to get rid off as good as they can cause exchanging a keyboard in Europe is not expectable. My Jumper RC were also supported very well even if there had been struggles to understand each other the right way.

Jumper support tried to help and that is what counted at least for me until I got my thinker i35 cause I needed 8 GB and intel i3 processor power. Just 2 years ago that i had made these experiences that were far better than expected.

My EZBook Jumper 3 pro experience was realy bad regarding touchpad til V4 arrived. I had bought each better version and owned a V3, V4, V6 and a very late one. The V3 had a hardware problem, nearly unimproveable except external mouse.

But this smooth scrolling trick did work for me on the later ezbook 3 pro from V4 onwards and my thinker.

 

You seem to have a different problem otherwise it should work. Even on my 4 year old outdated 15,7″ all in one tablet it works perfectly.

It can’t help in all cases like the EZbook 3 Pro with that terrible nightmare touch in V3

You have to ask the vendor cause he or someone else might have just changed the keyboard without changing the keyboard settings.

I know that at ali express there had been some offers but these were a kind of silicone overlay keyboards for italian / german / french if I remember right.

Yes, the modell 4 was available from autumn last year and most likely you will have a modell version 5 or 6 when the touch is working right.

You could identify it by the touchpad surface if it is flat or has a structure.

Take the thinker. I had been upgrading from that Teclast. Screen is really impressive and my f6 had an emmc , no ssd and that was smaller.

Screen is damn better … and 8 GB compared to 6 or 4 GB is a great advantage too. 4 GB means just 2 GB of free storage after booting, but 8 GB offers 3 times more. 2 GB free means you can open 10 tabs in chrome and it starts to crash.

Doesn’t make sense to save money cause you’d get a lot less.

First step there is always to take the battery power plug out of the board so why shouldn’t you be able to change battery?

Should be done easier than a thermal mod.

Look inside the windows settings. It must be under the repair options and offers different ways to repair and reset.

I did it that way for different jumper ezbooks and other chinese laptops like F7 … but not for the thinker. It’s a pure windows solution and should work in any case.

I didn’t like that jumper charger cause it had a high standby power consumption even when jumper was fully charged.

I ‘ve enabled that throttle flag cause I experience same problems regarding spiegel.de – they are trying to push readers away that way they use ads, videos and all that stuff that brings a heavy load. reading on mobile phone in browser might work everything else is a nightmare but I think I will install pi-hole to get ridd off all the stuff that makes the side so heavy and slow – and they can’t complain about “disable your adblocker”.

Finally it might be that you get a smoother scrolling experience but my pretty old june 2017 V4 modell had accuracy issues a lot , really a lot.

I was not able to move the cursor and hit things first time, cause when I saw that the cursor had been above a function icon and therefore stopped everything seems ok until I pressed to turn it on.

That press had been not used as a press or click, no first of all the cursor jumped aside away from that icon so my click was executed on another icon.
For instance clicking on word icon “BOLD” ended in activating “ITALIC”.

1 year ago and I still can remember that touchpad as it where yesterday … until I bought that Xiaomi Mouse with BT and WiFi dongle on board that solved the problem by replacing that touchpad and changing my habits.

And now you are there – but that might depend on what you bought cause V6 should be considerably better and there are other vendors with far better results and no “part lottery” cause Jumper is that kind of company that changes the parts based on cheapest supplies this weeks and that happens not only with emmc, ssd … and also with touchpads.

Alldocube THinker 35 or so is my current favorite, the succesor of 4 Jumper EzBook 3 Pro V4, V5, V6 from last year and it was just 140€ more – but for 8 GB instead of 6, 256 GB SSD instead of 64 GB eMMC and pretty good working touchpad, no intel 3450 Atom or … just intel m3 .

And a MS Surface hires display – so damn good that I fear the moment I wanna move to another machine where every other display might be a desaster.

If you buy that thinker you will save a lot compared to EzBook 3 Pro V6 like

1. 80€ for an 256 GB SSD drive and at least e to 5 hours of work , no warranty violation …
2. 40€ for 2 GB more RAM
3. and then the faster M3 and far superior 14 inch surface screen is nearly for free

And surfing with chrome is a game changer if you see both machines next to each other scrolling down that spiegel.de page

The only solution for staying with that Jumper might be an external mouse – Xiaomi has a good metal one, bluetooth and wifi dongle on board.

But: none of these disadvantages of the Jumper EZBook is something new – cause it had been mentioned here from the beginning over the “what components are in my device” lottery after I had bought 3 of them in autumn in the hope to get a V6 with fast sandisk SSD – but got only the slowest emmc ones in 3 different variations bought on 1 day from 1 reseller. That is a true lottery and I did not have luck so I moved away and got exactly what Chris had described in his review and description, no negative surprise like slow emmc, other touchpad, other display panel, bios, … just that released product he had described instead of a product out of a moving sand dune where you never know what you’ll get this time or even tomorrow.

Jumper EZBook was a great milestone but again “the revolution eats its own children ” german saying from the 18 th century. Others copied Jumpers ingredients and added a product- and release management to let Jumper loose their advantage they once had.
