@Sushi that’s the exact same battery i bought and installed in my 3 pro.
let it charge overnight and fully discharge a couple of time and it’s night and day with original battery.

If you just use the flat flex cable, it’s OK but, be careful if you use that particular adapter, there is no 3.3v regulator on it like the original one.
You could fry your ssd with 5v
June 6, 2018 at 9:09 am #143655Hello.
I didn’t tried for now.
Just checked/compared Hex from AHCI modules from all available bios for 3pro + 3s and it results in 2 jumper 3Pro families :
1 – 06/22/17 and 09/30/17 sharing the same module , jumper noted “Ver 3BANS002 JUMPER2x”
2 – 08/07/17, 10/08/17, 11/06/17, 12/05/17, 02/01/18 sharing the same module, but different from Family 1, jumper noted “Ver 3BANS010 JUMPER10x”
3 – Jumper 3s , that seem to be noted “Ver: SU16A003” sharing another different AHCI module.
I don’t know what jumper version are working OK with SSD but it could be a good idea to do some statistics on that particular point.
May 31, 2018 at 4:09 pm #143515Hello Jose.
the only advice i can give you is the same as Chupa, Buy where you can get a good return policy.
in my EzBook 3 pro V6 i can’t get any ssd working, WD Green 240, Crucial MX500 250gb nor Samsung 860 Evo 250gb.
May 14, 2018 at 12:00 pm #143017sorry if i miss something but, what is “embedded controller (ITE)” ?
I received a “claimed good” Samsung 860 Evo ssd 250 Gb , chances of detection are better with bios but it doesn’t works better than Crucial MX500 when Win 10 boots up.
I just received my 1.8v converter, I will try to dump bios at 1st.
If it works then I’ll try to change ahci bios module with the one from Ezbook 3L sourced by @Chupa so please @Giovanni , do you think i should extract and replace ahci module “as it is” or “uncompressed” ?
best regards
May 8, 2018 at 1:42 pm #142786OK I didn’t saw you tested with 100mb files, that can’t be as fast with bigger test files, rapid magician probably activate some cache like crucial software do equally.
That’s ssd story is really a problem…
And I can’t find my scope probe…
May 8, 2018 at 8:55 am #142762@Kaasie can you confirm that e benchmarks are from your ssd in jumper ?
perhaps can you attach a picture of the laptop running the benchmark ?
can you give us the exact reference of your ssd ? perhaps we can find more useful information
@Chupa , does sata3.2 has something to do with Nvme or is it something different.best regards
April 25, 2018 at 7:09 pm #142338As soon as I get some time I’ll clean dust on my old hame scope.
April 25, 2018 at 2:10 pm #142311@Giovanni you shoud say “AHCI module” instead of ACPI, unless ACPI could be faulty too ?
it’s probably an endless problem…
i’m waiting for the 1.8V converter. probably i’ll give a try because honestly, Ezbook 3 pro without a true SSD possibility is really a nasty trick from jumper.
the last thing i suspect for is an hardware problem, the ssd board is attached to Mobo by only 8 wires ( 2 x 5V + 2 x GND + 1 x A+/- pair + 1 x B+/- pair).
you can find on the board a little DC converter to step down 5V to 3.3V required by M2 Sata, perhaps it’s not able to provide enough juice.
i’m searching for some informations about sata wiring standards but i couldn’t find anything interesting for now.
perhaps it’s missing some command signal to start or read something properly at sata boot time.
I’ll investigate…
April 24, 2018 at 7:22 pm #142260Your 3s dump seem interesting, at least there is the same cpu and probably share some compatible bios modules.
Perhaps a cloud sharing like Dropbox, Google drive or anything else.April 23, 2018 at 9:15 pm #142231you can use AFUWINx64.EXE in the tools.rar archive from the 1st post.
in admin command prompt, cd to the AFUWINx64.EXE directory and type :
AFUWINx64.EXE dump.rom /O
“dump.rom” is the name you choose for file dump.
you can ferify your dump with :
AFUWINx64.EXE dump.rom /D
I remember to red your thompson is N3350 instead of N3450.
best regards
April 23, 2018 at 6:01 pm #142224@Chupa, are you really using an ezbook 3 pro or an ezbook 3l pro?
Do you use both?
April 23, 2018 at 5:51 pm #142223I tried your method with disk part, added the “convert gpt” command before “create partition primary…”
I doesn’t get any ssd working better.
2 possibilities I guess :
1 – bios ahci / satacontroller or another else module is a junk.
Mmtool extracts seem to be the same in 12/05/17 and 02/01/18, I just extracted them and compare with hexedit, I’m not skilled an i can’t tell if it’s good or not.
2 – that’s an hardware not compliment with driver problem
I would like to see a dump from another working N3450 with ssd working machine to compare modules.
Thanks for your help though.
April 21, 2018 at 5:48 am #142157I hope you will be luckier than me with ssd.
I tried two and none is working, WD Green 240gb or crucial Mx500 250gb. I don’t plan to buy another one before I sell one of them.
I tried to disable sata port 1 in bios, but it remains active and boot from emmc, the only way for me to inactive the emmc is disabling emmc support (south cluster > scc things), but it change nothing.
I guess it’s an underpowering problem.
Evo 500 seems lower consumption.
Let us know if your evo 500 is working or not.
