When gearbest sent me the replacement keyboard I took it to a PC repair shop here in Phoenix that put in in for $5. If you can tell me how to get to…[Read more]

Thanks for responding Chris. I will give it a try. I see most of the Chinese tablet manufacturers say that their tablets support up to 128gb SD cards only, so maybe they are just covering themselves against compatibility issues.

Hi,
It should work. My Samsung 128GB Pro card worked fine and it’s SDXC /U1.

Brad, no, drivers were ok.
After coming back on intermittently, and then disappearing again (like an on-off girlfriend) repeatedly, I decided to reinstall Win 10 deleting the partitions, just to be safe. Sure enough, the 3165 was nowhere to be found, then a couple of days in came in unannounced for about a day, then stopped working again.
Since…[Read more]

Hi guys.
I had the some problem – I couldn’t boot my Chuwi Hi10 in any way. I tried all, I think, solutions which I found on this forum and few tips from gearbest (my tablet was bought on Aliexpress in november 2016), incudind disconnecting wire between battery and motherboard. There was connector, it wasn’t soldered. I was determined to order…[Read more]

Turn it off and press the power button for about one minute to discharge the capacitors, then try to power it on again. If this doesn’t work the SSD probably died.

Hi Mario,
hmm, seems like Deepin is not using a 64-bit bootloader, that’s why you see the black screen. You can boot from a second USB having rEFInd and then start Deepin from there. I agree, Deepin is some really nice eye-candy and doesn’t require much customization after launching, however it’s quite heavy on resources.
I would suggest to run…[Read more]

Carlo replied to the topic Anyone with a BMAX laptop? in the forum General Discussion 6 years, 10 months ago
I have a Bmax Y11 and can confirm that’s the same laptop as the Teclast F5 (NOT the F5R), only differences are the grey/white keyboard (that is difficult to read under some light conditions) and the SSD, which is 256 GB.
The battery is not so good, it’s only 7.000mah and can last about 4-5 hours, like Chris said.
No full size ports, I use a…[Read more]

Thanks Chris, will check the F5 review. Regarding the lack of full sized USB ports… I assume there are adaptors?

Just to make it clear, I measured the voltage on the connector on the board, not on the AC power supply. So the board was getting 12+v. I don’t know how it is supposed to be distributed on the motherboard nor appropriate test points so I didn’t do other measurements. Recommendations welcome!

Since this topic has been dead for a long time, I suppose that everyone as given up on the idea of hosting and charging at the same time.
These are mutually exclusive – it is one or the other. No homegrown cable or hub modifications are effective.

Chris G replied to the topic Anyone with a BMAX laptop? in the forum General Discussion 6 years, 10 months ago
@peteronowak If you look in the comments someone has the Y11, all good apart from the keys are quite hard to see the letters on them. Because it’s silver and not backlit. I’ve reviewed the Teclast F5 search for that, the exact same machine apart from the colors used. I really like the F5, just no full-sized USB port and 5 hours battery life tops!…[Read more]

My Cube Mix Plus has a problem like this one.
The battery was no longer charging when AC power supply was connected.
The system continued to work until the battery was discharged.
No sign of life since then. The LED is not on.
I tried another AC power supply. No difference.
I left it on my shelf for several months — I didn’t know what to d…[Read more]

I used lithium grease from a tube, you only have to apply a really small amount, like ‘tip-of-the-toothpick’ small.

How is the BMAX 11? I’m thinking to get the BMAX 13.3 for my self, backlit 🙂 and it still should accept USB-C charging, to me the backlit of the is the key thing, I work a lot at night and really need to see the keys :), any way how is the BMAX 11 form build quality and over all does it look it will be reliable?
