Had so many problems installing Win10 on this tablet. The method with 2 USB sticks, didn’t work at all….and downloading the packages was a pain. You need a USB hub for connecting Keyboard, Mouse and bootable USB stick. So this is my solution:

    1. Flash the tablet clean for Android, make sure is working ok
    2. Get a Win 10 iso (i used win 10 pro).
    3. Use Rufus to create an USB bootable stick, containing the above image. The stick has to be formatted FAT32 and GPT partition scheme for UEFI!
    4. Power Off the tablet and plug in the bootable stick
    5. Power ON the tablet, and it should boot in to dual boot screen.
    6. Select Windows to boot into, and you should see the normal win 10 setup screen.
    7. In Win 10 setup, go and select CUSTOM INSTALL, a window will appear with the available drives and partitions.
    8. Scroll down and select the Unpartitioned Space. The size of it should be around 32 GB. Press Install, and normal Win 10 install procedures will start.
    9. Follow all the procedures for Win 10 installation….the device will restart 2-3 times, at the end you will have an working win 10 but without drivers.
    10. Now you will need an working Android phone that can tether and share his internet connection over USB.
    11. Use a usb cable to connect your phone to the USB 3.0 port of your tablet, after that, on your phone turn ON USB tethering; you should see on your tablet that a network driver is being installed.
    12. On your tablet, open internet explorer or edge, and check if you have internet connection….if all OK, then:
    13. On your table, open Device Manager, and click on all the devices found that do not have drivers (the ones marked with yellow), select Update driver and then ” Search Automatically for an updated driver”.
    14. You should see progress for downloading and installing drivers.
    15. Repeat step 14 for every device.
    16. After you found all drivers, go and download “Intel Driver Update Utility” and run it, it will tell you that it found new drivers for the video card, select only the second one and install it.
    17. Reboot
    18. Done….

If you have issues, go again in Device manager and repeat step 13. By now you should have WiFi so no phone need. You need a USB hub for connecting Keyboard, Mouse and bootable USB stick. Good Luck

    Hi,

After flash Android with Intel Flash Tools my dual boot screen show only Androi option. Can I solve? Can I install (flash) only dual boot option?

Yes, it’s possible! But getting wifi and touchscreen support is another matter…

    Prerequisites:

Step 1. flash Remix OS UEFI iso to USB stick. You will have to figure out how to do this on your own, but there’s many guides out there on how to flash an iso to USB.

Step 2. Shut off the tablet when it’s in Windows mode. Then hold Power + Vol Up until the Chuwi boot logo appears, then release Power but keep holding Volume Up. Navigate to Boot Manager, then select “EFI USB Device” (Your USB stick might be labeled differently). It might spit out an error here and say press any key to continue. Just ignore it and continue to the boot screen.

Step 3. Edit the boot flags of either the first and second option. Add acpi=off to the second line on the boot flag. Optionally, you can add DEBUG=1 and remove the quiet flag if you would like to see the progress of the boot. Then press F10 to boot.

Step 3.5. If you removed quiet and added DEBUG=1, type exit and press enter when it drops you to the shell to boot into Remix OS.

It will take about ~7 minutes to finish booting into Remix OS. However, the touchscreen and wifi will be nonfunctional. I’m not sure how to fix this, but you can always plug in a USB wifi dongle.

Today I recieved and replaced the screen (Chimei Innolux n133hse-*), my Yepo 737s works again.

Appareantly it seems like the Ezbook 2 has a different touchpad than the Yepo 737s. For me it also worked in the Antergos Live USB.

The wifi only works halfways: it is detected now, i can turn it on and off, but it doesn’t find any Networks. Therefore I’m also keeping a look at https://github.com/hadess/rtl8723bs.
Yes i compiled my own kernel, but I used the patches from https://github.com/ferbar/rtl8723bs/tree/master/patches_4.7, as the current arch kernel is 4.8 and things appareantly changed since the 4.5 kernel.

Bluetooth also works now, you just have to clone https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8723bs_bt and execute start_bt.sh on each boot(or auto start it, but still a bit dirty imho).

Sadly i didn’t get any further with sound yet, as it is hard to find any information, I tried it with search terms like “Intel Cherrytrail audio linux”, same with baytrail, “ES8316” but accurate information is rare. I tried to rebuild my kernel with several cherrytrail related patches, but they had no additional visible effect for me. Also i found it hard to keep track which patches relate to which kernel, and which patches would make other patches obsolete, etc…

For the touchpad, maybe it could help to play with the settings in Bios -> Advanced -> Chipset Configuration, for example “I2C Touch Devics”.

What i dont know is, if these settings just tell the mainboard which hardware device is actually connected, or if it changes the way the bios exposes the devices to the operating system.

    Hello everybody

I’m looking for a china dual boot tablet with dual band wifi. Screensize from 9,7 to 12 inch. Also I need an extra charging port or two usb ports. One for charging the other for otg. The perfomance is not very important. I need it to controll my digital mixer on stage with an android app called mixing station. It needs less power. But the wifi connection to my apple airport express is very important. Windows would be nice to configurate the mixer without my laptop.

The only thing I found was the vido w10i. It has all the things I need, but I found no reviews.

    Price under 300 😉

    Any ideas?

    Thx and greetings from germany

A way to reinstall only OTA application which has never worked ( !) I saw a new Android version for this device available but I would like to know before going deeper if this would improve the wi-fi sensitivity which is a pain (I am obliged to us

My model is C2D6 THE 64GB version. I have no problem with wifi. My android version is 5.1.1 and i downloaded it from Teclast’s site. With the preinstalled android version i didn’t have also the Teclast’s OTA update application. But after flashing the latest rom from teclast’s site i have again the OTA Update application. You should try and flash the new rom as it may fix your wifi problem. In the worst situation your wifi will have the same results as now. So try it. I am a very very happy user. My only complaint is that Mmy tablet is not supporting wired OTG controller to play games. At least didn’t recognized my xbox360 controller. Maybe it supports bluetooth connection controllers?Anyone tried it?

I don’t have an xbox360 controller to try but I haven’t found any USB device that won’t work with the C2D4. Using a powered hub, I have a 1TB HD, GPS, Easycap UVC device, Logitech kybd/mouse receiver dongle, and GSM dongle all working together fine.

I compared the Devicemanager of the secure mode with the one of the regular running windows 10 and found out that the problem with the display is caused by the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165, which is needed for the wifi-connections (It is not loaded in secure mode so there was no problem there).

After deactivating the AC 3165 the display works perfect. For now I use a TP-Link USB-Wifi-stick. Too bad it only works with connected keyboard dock or with the wormlike USB3 adapter.

Maybe I am able to find another driver for the wifi-device.

I used my android phone wih USB tethering. You could also use a supported wifi stick.

Trackpad: Verify that xf86-input-libinput is installed and in use, if it still fails uninstall all other packages starting with xf86-input

I got my x98 plus with the intention of using it as a low power PC replacement. The fact that no USB hub has been found that will charge the tablet and allow any usb devices has been disappointing. I have found a semi solution that fits my needs. I now have the tab plugged into a HDMI monitor and I have full size   bluetooth keyboard  and cheap BT mouse. When I first got the tablet the BT caused troubles with Wifi but the windows updates have fixed that.

I have a Blackberry Playbook power brick that keeps the charge rate at zero…perfect!!!

I Have Acrylic wifi software installed in windows on my Hi10 and am working to see if I can get monitor mode working for packet captures.

From what I have thus far I believe the built in wifi adapter does not support monitor mode so I purchased a netgear usb adapter that does.

Is anyone else out there do wifi packet captures with their Hi10 ?

My solution to Windows10 drivers issues
    Model: Hi10 Q64G42160—— Dual boot

    STEPS:

    1. I downloaded ISO from official website https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10ISO
    2. Upload the iso to a USB stick
    3. Boot and install on Chuwi..
    4. No drivers working and when i tried this drivers ( https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw0BaAg1841MY3dlY1dCbktnTEU) for chuwi Hi10 some passes but major one didnt(i tried all chuwi hi10 drivers that i found in google)
    5. I put my usb-wifi adaptor(usb wifi receiver device(yeah its old)), and i got WIFI working
    6. I installed all updates from ControlPanel>Check For Updates(it took 1 hour)
    7. After that I still didnt have touchscreen,G-sensor,(but WIFI drivers worked so i didnt need usb-wifi adaptor anymore)
    8. I tried again from Driver Manager to add these drivers: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw0BaAg1841MY3dlY1dCbktnTEU but nothing happen again
    9. So I went to the drivers folder and pick some folder and pick the .inf file and Right button> Install and it worked! not all of the drivers passed(like 70% passed) but now it is working very well, without any issues I have sensors, camera, bluetooth, wifi, battery

    END STEPS:

    MY STORY:

I had to reset the windows and got issues from that so i formatted entire disk

I tried a lot of operation system because my drivers (touchscreen , wifi, sensors ) didnt work
    (Ubuntu(16.04), Kubuntu(14.04), Mint, Win8.1 , Android,Custom Android OS, RemixOS)
But nothing work the way i want to , so i finished with Windows 10
It took me like 2 months almost to find a proper solution.

    END MY STORY

I hope this could help to somebody!

I will try your fix on the stock W10 I have installed so far, then I will try to install the Teclast’s W10 and apply the fix

A little update from my test:
I have manage to get internet using my phone as an usb hotspot and if I run windows update it find the broadcom driver! Unfortunaly the “settings” app freezes if I use the thetering workaround (I will try with a real wifi usb to get it solved, cross finger)
