Thanks for this link. I really hope you’ll come back and let us know about your experience. I’ve never heard of anyone replacing a battery successfully. I have heard of attempts, but no success stories. Good Luck!

I don’t have this cube but I am interested in getting a battery myself. Do you have a source for batteries that you could link? Also, if you have any results you could post back, I’m sure many would appreciate your efforts. Thanks Johnm
July 26, 2017 at 4:10 pm #69700my i7 book you have to press and hold to boot, not auto on at a brief press. I think they all are that way
July 24, 2017 at 8:35 pm #69618Sound works through headphones and bluetooth, just not speakers, but there are ways to patch the kext, look for patches from rehabman or voodookext patches for audio
July 13, 2017 at 8:36 pm #69192OSx works fine on cube i7 book. The efi is a few posts back. There are a couple of things that don’t work, like wifi, but you can get a mini wifi dongle for $7 and it is fine. You also don’t have a kext for sd card, but it is probably doable, just needs more attention. The efi is the key, with that you have qe/ci and you can do most everything
June 8, 2017 at 9:19 pm #67959I updated to creator’s edition too, you lose drivers. Look in the download section here on techtablets for the cube i7 book drivers. https://techtablets.com/downloads-drivers-roms/
If you can’t get it to show the device without drivers in device manager because you uninstalled it, try to do a system restore. If you don’t have any restore points, you might have to do a system reset from settings. system restore is from the control panel/system/system protection section. Good Luck It’s hard sometimes to pull out the right driver and install it, and you may have to go to the properties of the driverless device to the details tab and hit the drop down and get the hardware ID. Then you do an online search and that can narrow down the device driver from the cube i7 book drivers folder from here.
June 7, 2017 at 5:49 am #67876I think you may be confused regarding the thermal MOD. The mod is to help the cpu diffuse the heat better so that the tablet will operate more efficiently, not more cool to the touch. There might be something you can do, but I have not heard of a cooling mod to eliminate heat to the exterior. Good Luck!
May 17, 2017 at 3:56 pm #67093please forgive the appearance of rudeness, but, what is the deal with gearbest? I have made two orders in the past, that they have claimed would be shipped within a matter of days and 8 and 10 weeks later nothing. I called, complained, written 5+ emails and they act so nonchalant and blasee. Do you have an understanding why they drum up business and hold your money for weeks at a time only to refuse to proactivly inform their customers of their inability to deliver product. I hope you have an answer for this company, since you hawk them
April 22, 2017 at 2:37 am #65825secure boot is disable-able. I use osx on a dual boot w/windows, secure boot entry is in the security tab. This bios has many more option to configure than any I’ve ever seen. I don’t tweak BIOSs much, so I can’t help you with that

April 17, 2017 at 1:25 am #65420I reformatted, and clean installed the new win10 creators edition, with the online media creation tool. When through installing, there were 7 or 8 devices that didn’t automatically get drivers. So I used the drivers from here, in the download section. I had a bit of trouble figuring out which folder to point to when upgrading each driver. I ended up going into the properties for each unknown device, into the details tab, then in the dropdown I go the Hardware ID’s and then copied and searched online for the actual device name associated with the hardware ID, and found all the names 1 by 1. I know there are drivers for I2C HID, in the drivers folders from the downloads section here. I would take the time it takes to redo my install before I go tearing apart the digitizer.

March 27, 2017 at 1:21 am #64100My i7book and cdk09 works exactly the same as yours. I don’t type in abundance, so I cannot offer any solutions, but I’m sure you’ll get it mapped or something Good Luck!
