The Tab S6 has by far the best sound I’ve heard from a tablet or even 13″ or smaller notebook… IMO, better than the sound from a Pixel Slate. Quad speakers, great bass (for small piezo speakers). 10/10 on audio. Excellent display … if you like Samsung’s saturated AMOLED look (I like the Pixel Slate display better.). 10/10 on display (the Slate is also 10/10 on display). The Slate is heavier, but has a 12″ panel. So why an 8.5 on the Tab S6 …. Bixby. If you like Google Assistant, Alexa, etc., Bixby may not bother you…. but you can’t delete Bixby, or Galaxy Store, and every time the soft keyboard opens, the OS asks permission to use Contacts, and you can’t delete Samsung keyboard. You can turn every permission off, and you still get the permission challenge for the keyboard to use Contacts. I installed GBoard, still got challenges. If you make the mistake of activating Bixby, thinking the steps used to deactivate it on a Galaxy phone will work… big mistake… you can’t. The only option is a factory reset, which I did and returned the unit. Bixby is Big Brother. I’ll keep using my Tab S3, with the 4:3 display ratio I prefer. Samsung’s greed has spoiled its chance to save its tablet business. IMO, Bixby will drive consumers to Chrome tablets.
