Onda V80 Plus 8 Inch 1920 x 1200 OGS Dual Boot

Onda V80 Plus 8 Inch 1920 x 1200 OGS Dual Boot

Almost let this one slip, about a week ago Onda announced some new tablets. Most aren’t that interesting (weak Allwinner ARM Soc’s, Android only) but the Onda V80 Plus looks like it might be okay if Onda don’t mess it up. It has an 8 inch 1920 x 1200 fully laminated display. A CNC metal alloy unibody and runs Windows 10 and Android 5.1. This looks like a more premium Onda v820 CH.

Great to see more OGS displays finally in Chinese tablets. And the specs? Well, you guess it no doubt. Atom X5 Z8300, 2GB RAM, 32GB eMMC, Wireless N, MicroSD card slot and micro HDMI output.

Still no word on the Onda Obook 12 release date? Has it quietly been canceled after so many delays?

  1. Just saw it on sale at Geekbuying for $99. Is it a good choice?

    • Couldn’t say as I’ve yet to test this one. But the Cube iwork8 Air I have seems okay for $80

  2. The tablet is on presale at gearbest for around 100 USD. No mention about the ogs display…. http://m.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_411541.html

  3. It’s now listed on the onda site and it says z3735F ?
Maybe …. this is the way to lower temps lol the onda 8.9 V891wCh seems to be interesting

  4. Looking forward to this. Expected price range and release date?

  5. chris,

I thought you already gave up on onda. It is 499rmb in china and x80 power is 599rmb in china.
x80 power seems slimmer than v80 plus.

x80 power was on sale for 99US the other day. Since it is too new, I will wait for both of them.

Thank god I sold my hi8 pro, I will not buying anything before you review it any more.

    I love you Chris.

  6. Why no new 3/2 or 4/3 ratio tablets 🙁

  7. Any chance of a 3G or even 4G card? Really hoping for an 8″ dual boot with a SIM slot (with 64gb ….?) to replace my Chuwi V89 …. Whilst this is possible with the 9.7″ tablets, they are just a touch too large.

    • There was the Cube iwork8 3GI reviewed about a year ago, but its a Bay Trail Atom.
