That reminds me, on a recent thread I saw on Chuwi’s forum: the screw can easily fall out. You need to tighten them properly (maybe only after opening the case), with or without some “locking” glue.

I am happy with my purchase. The screen is very good (IPS). The keyboard is nice to type on (key travel). And it is fanless (silent).
The BIOS is unlocked (but you can brick the laptop). The power limit is up to 25 Watt. Default setting is 12 Watt.
The screen has no (air) gap, which is good. I have put a non-gloss film on mine. (I already own a…[Read more]

WillemW replied to the topic CHUWI LapBook Pro 8GB – I need a way to reset BIOS settings to factory defaults in the forum Chuwi LapBook Series 6 years ago
The BIOS is fully unlocked AFAIK. Power limit is set to 12 Watt. You can increase it up to 25 Watt.
Personally, I find the laptop fast enough on 12 Watt. Will increasing the power limit really make a lot of difference?

I bought this charger that has a 36W output from the usb-c port along with a 100W cable and it works, however still stuck at 11.4W charging speed like the DC charger so I guess you won’t ever get a higher wattage.

I have a CHUWI HI10 x64 Windows version and I changed the RAM clock speeds and now my tablet wont turn on.
The LED flashes when I charge it, but when I turn it on, it does not enter BIOS with or without keyboard connected.
Also keyboard lights do not turn as they used before this happened.
Can someone post concrete steps to revive this tablet…[Read more]

I would be interested in this!
As I just wrote above, with Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon sound and bluetooth also works right out of the box 🙂 The wifi switch problem is still there, though, and neither touchscreen nor cameras work.
Did you find a solution for not having to go into BIOS to boot, by the way?

@Max: With the brand new Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon, using Kernel 5.4, touchscreen and neither camera works, but sound, battery indicator and bluetooth and, as far as I can see, everything else works out of the box.

Hello, my LapBook SE died recently, propably due to bios corruption. Can you dump bios file for me from your working machine?
Use tool like this.
https://github.com/google/pawn or something else made for windows. I really need that bios file.

Undocking then docking it at times seems to help but it just happens so frequently now, sometimes seconds after docking it.
Haven’t really found a suitable keyboard replacement or at least not one that would feel natural.
The issues seem to be a good bit less when I disable the mouse pad but then with the ghost touching or the accuracy not being…[Read more]

Sorry for this necropost, but it may still be helpful.
Are you getting numbers and “functions” such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division where you are expecting u, i, o, j, k, l etc?
If so your keyboard is fine and you have invoked the virtual ten-key numberpad.
See my help here:…[Read more]

If you take a good look at this photo from the official Teclast F5 page (http://www.teclast.com/en/zt/nb/F5/images/F5_zt_11.jpg):

you can see the “6” in smaller size on the “O” key.
I’d say my first “solution” is definitely the correct one.
The Del key is also marked “numlock” <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Try pressing…[Read more]
