I never got one that was very stable. This tablet is a piece of junk. ANY other Chinese tablet is better than this one. Such a shame, it had such potential

I ve just ordered one
I am looking for some kind of “corner” protections that could be glued (or “scotched”) to the corners, especially to protect the screen as I understand it’s made of (breakable) glass (and not less breakable plastic)
(I’ve just had a bad experience with another laptop with a glass screen : my bag fell with it in it and the…[Read more]

Après quelques mois d’utilisation je suis très satisfait de ce portable. Sa taille et son poids le rendent vraiment facile à transporter.

Yes! Big thanks for the info.
12w default power limit? Then maybe I dont need to disable it. Comparing to a n3450, 6w was very slow and it totally transformed on 15w…
Of course I’ll do cooling mods and what not.
Any other input? How many of you are holding out for new models…?

That reminds me, on a recent thread I saw on Chuwi’s forum: the screw can easily fall out. You need to tighten them properly (maybe only after opening the case), with or without some “locking” glue.

I am happy with my purchase. The screen is very good (IPS). The keyboard is nice to type on (key travel). And it is fanless (silent).
The BIOS is unlocked (but you can brick the laptop). The power limit is up to 25 Watt. Default setting is 12 Watt.
The screen has no (air) gap, which is good. I have put a non-gloss film on mine. (I already own a…[Read more]

WillemW replied to the topic CHUWI LapBook Pro 8GB – I need a way to reset BIOS settings to factory defaults in the forum Chuwi LapBook Series 5 years, 11 months ago
The BIOS is fully unlocked AFAIK. Power limit is set to 12 Watt. You can increase it up to 25 Watt.
Personally, I find the laptop fast enough on 12 Watt. Will increasing the power limit really make a lot of difference?

I bought this charger that has a 36W output from the usb-c port along with a 100W cable and it works, however still stuck at 11.4W charging speed like the DC charger so I guess you won’t ever get a higher wattage.

I have a CHUWI HI10 x64 Windows version and I changed the RAM clock speeds and now my tablet wont turn on.
The LED flashes when I charge it, but when I turn it on, it does not enter BIOS with or without keyboard connected.
Also keyboard lights do not turn as they used before this happened.
Can someone post concrete steps to revive this tablet…[Read more]

I would be interested in this!
As I just wrote above, with Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon sound and bluetooth also works right out of the box 🙂 The wifi switch problem is still there, though, and neither touchscreen nor cameras work.
Did you find a solution for not having to go into BIOS to boot, by the way?

@Max: With the brand new Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon, using Kernel 5.4, touchscreen and neither camera works, but sound, battery indicator and bluetooth and, as far as I can see, everything else works out of the box.
