It’s not related to Chuwi.
Check your display preferences and adjust the zoom.If you don’t use any zoom (and put 100%), nothing will be blurry, but you’ll see that the resolution makes everything really small and somewhat hard to use with fingers.
May 27, 2016 at 4:42 pm #38815Not on mine.
May 25, 2016 at 12:44 pm #38556Just use the script and do not update SuperSU after.
No need to modify the script or anything.Once rooted and SuperSU installed, disable notifications for SuperSU and auto-update in the Playstore so you won’t be bothered with updating. Don’t forget to check directly in SuperSU which app requested root though, as it may remove SuperSU pop-ups when an app requires root.
May 25, 2016 at 9:38 am #38545No idea how the Xbox One streaming works, but I don’t have any problem with Remote Playing on the hi12 with the PS4.
May 25, 2016 at 9:35 am #38544May 25, 2016 at 9:34 am #38543You can use any USB keyboard to enter bios settings (F7).
May 20, 2016 at 9:10 pm #38060I don’t have any issue when using the hi12 in windows just browsing internet on Edge. I can’t get to 5% without issue.
Are your hi12s shuting down only when watching videos or playing ?
The only problem that I have is that I need to restart the wifi connection manually when using my wifi usb dongle when I resume windows. It seems that the “latest” FW fixes a wifi issue, is it this one? Not willing to try to flash a FW and brick my hi12 if it doesn’t fix that.
May 19, 2016 at 3:05 pm #37930Hi,
I got this Wifi USB key from Aliexpress.
Not using bluetooth on a daily basis, but the slow wifi is a pain sometimes. With this one I can get 100/100mpbs on my home network without problem, much better than the 30-40mpbs I get with the internal wifi.Works fine with Win10 (you need to install the drivers, otherwise it only works with 2.4ghz).
It doesn’t work on Android by default, I haven’t looked into that, seems like you may need to compile drivers, I have no experience in this.May 13, 2016 at 9:53 am #37127Great ! Now rooted ! 😀
Is there an easy way to install TWRP (so I can install Xposed) ?
May 12, 2016 at 10:11 am #36944That’s great news !
I’ll wait en english guide though, Google Translate has some limits here 😀
May 12, 2016 at 5:20 am #36911Photo loading failed.
RAW photo editing is not supported on this device. That’s the message I have on Snapseed with your .dng file
I tried it on my phone, no issue to open/edit this .dng file with Snapseed.
I deinstalled/ reinstalled Snapseed on the Chuwi, downloaded the file again, same error message.
I just found this for what it’s worth:
Starting with version 2.1, Snapseed supports editing of DNG files. Simply open a DNG file and it will go straight into RAW Develop mode, which allows you to tweak exposure, white balance (temperature), shadows, highlights, add structure and more. However, not all Android devices are supported and you might receive the following message: “RAW photo editing is not supported on this device”.

RAW does not seem to be supported by Snapseed on every device. I can’t load DNG files on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 whereas Lightroom Mobile has no issue with the same file. I wonder if this is only available on Android 5.0+ devices with native DNG support.May 11, 2016 at 5:00 pm #36861I tried to open a 24mb png (4320×6120) and Snapseed crashed.
Could you post an exemple of file you’d want me to try?May 11, 2016 at 4:32 pm #36858It’s pretty funny, but I find that the hi12 has wayyyy more battery life using Windows than using Android.
I would have expected Win10 to be a lot more demanding and power-consumming, but I guess that the Android ROM is not optimized at all (for instance, mininum brightness is way too bright to use in bed at night).May 11, 2016 at 4:18 pm #36849Well, I didn’t have any issue.
My hi12 dual boot has been working great from day 1.
Not a single quality issue (for now!). I have been using 50% Android / 50% Windows on it. Was able to modify the language of the Windows install without problem.
The only downside on this tablet for me is the single 2.4ghz band wifi. Being limited to about 30/50mpbs is stupid, loading a 5gb movie on the tablet takes way too long and I had to buy an SD Card to do quick transfers.
May 11, 2016 at 4:07 pm #36846I guess that sometimes, a “dumb” powefull (more than 1.5A) charger like the one provided by Chuwi can charge faster.
My understanding (if anyone knows better than me, please correct!) is that smart chargers “negotiate” the amperage that they use with the device connected. So they charge at a “safe’ amperage that the device agrees on.
A dumb charger doesn’t bother with negotiations and charges at full speed without any consideration.
Is it better? No idea, probably not.
Is it faster? certainly. -
