Beelink BT7 Mini PC – Atom X7 Z8700 4GB With SSD

Beelink BT7 Mini PC – Atom X7 Z8700 4GB With SSD

Beelink has recently released the BT7 Mini PC. It’s one of the more powerful  Windows 10 Atom mini PC’s around as its packs an Atom X7 Z8700, 4GB of RAM and a 64GB eMMC with either a 64GB, 128GB or 320GB SSD drive.

Note that this one is different as it has a small active fan in it and not just passive cooling. It was one of the downfalls of the last Voyo X7 Z8700 mini-PC I looked at, it had an aluminium housing, but when pushed hard gaming for long periods it would overheat and throttle itself as it really couldn’t cool itself enough without a fan. Hopefully, this unit won’t do the same.

Other specs include dual band wifi, 1 Gbit LAN port, SD reader, three USB 3.0 ports and DC power. Gearbest currently has it on sale starting at $168.99 here: http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box-mini-pc/pp_362733.html The following coupons give you a discount:

4+64 coupon: GBBT76 $168.99

  1. How sure are you that this comes with both emmc & SSD. The specs read to me more like you can choose 64/128/320gb for eMMC But the SDD bay will come empty. I tried asking on gear best but didn’t get a straight answer…
I’m quite keen on one of these but am worried a eMMC system drive might be a bottle neck?
In mini pcs like this can you install to OS on the SDD or can it only be on the ROM?

    • Hi, I have it now and yes, sadly it is eMMC + SSD. Early days still testing it, but thermals seem good and the performance.

  3. Are you gonna review it ? Please say yes ?

    • Yeah I think I will 🙂

      • Hi Chris, this coupon is something magic, like 40€ less, it’s incredible! When this promotion ends?..I wanna buy one of those, but I’m not sure about a product, if I have not seen your review before..your opinion is everything for me!

        • If my Beelink M18 is any indication, its going to be a really nice product. My Beelink device is VERY well built and runs fantastic, but that is a media player obviously. The Mini PC could be a different story for sure.

  4. I wonder how this compares to say the Kangaroo+ in real world usage? Kangaroo seems to be a better company, with better OS support. But the Z8700 on the BT7 is a step up for sure.

    • If the thermals are good with that fan this should be a nice little machine given the specs it has.

      • I would be curious to see if the bios allows for booting from the msata rather than the emmc. Also interested in knowing if Linux could be installed.
