AllDoCube KNote X – A Downgraded Knote 8 With Celeron N4100

AllDoCube KNote X – A Downgraded Knote 8 With Celeron N4100

Remember the AllDoCube Knote 8 I reviewed? A 2560 x 1440 13.3″ Core M3-7Y30 tablet with 8GB of RAM. Well probably not, it had a dull screen and very poor speakers but a decent type cover. AllDoCube it seems is reusing this screen and all the rest of it as only the CPU and RAM is changing, it’s going to be coming soon with a Gemini Lake Celeron N4100, 8GB LPDDR4 RAM, and 128GB SSD.

As far as I can tell this is just the Knote 8 with downgraded internals. I wonder if they even bothered to improve the speakers? This tablet also has no full-sized ports. The screen is fully laminated and 2560 x 1440p means it’s sharp has a brightness of over 400 lux which is good.

Doubt I’ll buy one of these to review. AllDoCube seems to have lost their way over the last year. We need another Thinker i35 upgraded model or Mix Plus type Core M3 budget tablet otherwise with there tablet releases I don’t see this company surviving, like Onda they are disappearing…

  1. Hi, new here, I’m looking for windows tablet that could also boot linux, doesn’t need highend specs, but do need to be solid and have durable hardware build. Thanks in advance.

  2. Seems to be confusion between Knote 8 and Knote 5 in your initial comments. Your Knote 8 review said, “By far the best feature of the tablet is the 13.3″ 2560 x 1440 IPS panel….. This screen also has a maximum brightness of over 410 lux……” Your Knote 5 review said, “The screen is okay but lacks in maximum brightness output reaching only 220lux…….. rather dull screen and weak speaker…….”
Knote X is the Knote 8 with the same screen but the Knote 5 processor, so in theory it should be pretty good, and I would certainly like to see a review as soon as possible. If the price is reasonable this good be a winner.

    • Sorry, you’re correct, I’m getting confused between them as they are similar. I’m not sure I’ll review it at this point. Maybe later on in a few months.

  3. It sounded OK to me until you said “lacking brightness”. That cancels out everything for post people except nocturnal coders 😉

    • yes, it really annoyed me that they toned the brightness down so much on that panel.
