It’s part of Aliexpress’s featured brands sale, Shenzhen Ele is the seller and I have used them before without any issues. I received mine last week and it’s not a bad tablet. My latest info on the i7 Book can be found in the Cube i7 Book Hub.

Mine arrived 2 days ago and I did get the free gift (which was the bag) but the quality of the gift was extremely low and one of the hooks to keep the arm string in place was already broken but it was fine since the tablet itself is in good condition. AliExpress is isn’t bad if you ask me.

How did you make payment?
My issue with Ali Express is that they automatically cancel payments — this seems to be from USA buyers using major credit cards (Visa) with pre-approval given from the credit card issuer to prevent fraud flags, yet AliExpress still cancels the order. They ask for proof of identity with photo id, picture of card, picture of statement — a lot of folks object to this, but I tried myself and their system just says ‘busy, try later’ — for days. So I can’t even get this info uploaded and they’re no help in finishing the transaction.
Glad to hear they’re not a scam, but I don’t see how an American buyer does business with these guys.

You also needed to have a Verified by Visa account if you were using a Visa Card. There’s also another version for the master card but I don’t remember what it was called.

As a Singaporean buyer, have no issue with credit card transactions, at least for the 3 items i bought from Aliexpress til now.
More frustrated with the English communication with the support sometimes….
Even more frustrating when I can communicate in chinese but the website only allow posting in English…

I think you’ve got it from the same seller as me, but my tablet had some scratching on the protection foil. Sadly enough there was one scratch at the plastic part of the tablet…

I see. For duty and taxes depends on your country but can always check with exporter on the declare value for customs. Hopefully they will ship mine soon too!

I got the same thing. I’d really be curious if anyone knows a rep there or something…is this normal business for them and just part of the hurdles of international purchasing (and how do we get over them)

is this … as it appears to many American buyers …really sketchy and maybe even a doorway to bait & switch and fraud?

This is why I prefer Banggood and Gearbest, they support PAYPAL and no such issues.

– Message them to ask when I’ll get a refund, answered 1 day later: “soon”
– 5 days later: no refund
Conclusion: dodgy as hell – do NOT go near this company

I tried with two cards and both got flagged as fraud due to the Chinese site, purchase amt and unusual for me activity. Called the card company and got sorted out. You probably have a fraud flag and other purchases will be declined til you call.

Hi, it shows the higher price until the sale, then it will drop. It’s how Aliexpress works with these sales, a little confusing. The sale must start at like 7am or something, typical Aliexpress, they aren’t exactly clear on when it starts (What time zone)
