Ok this is fixed. As best as I can tell changing the system setting in BIOS from Windows to Linux bricked it. BIOS didn’t load so there was no display and ‘blind keying’ default setting did nothing – no surprise if BIOS wasn’t loading.

Don’t use the restore function.

Go to Microsoft website, download the installation tool and use that.

I’ve done it this way and now the laptop works way better than before.

re-installing or restoring windowx 10 on my EZbook 3 pro is proving virtually impossible

I tried to perform a restore using the command inside the BIOS unfortunately the restore stops almost immediately and I am asked to
1) Turn off the computer
2) choose other options (troubleshooting, or even turn off the pc)
Would you have any suggestions?

I’ve noticed the Chuwi Hi10 X is now on the market and it looks like it hits all my points. I’m watching, eagerly, for someone to test Linux on it, but with the price and features, it looks like everything I was looking for. If I can scrounge the cash, I think I’ll be ordering it.

UPDATE: I finally got the auto rotating into tablet mode working on a clean windows install that I have used.

I managed to download the drivers from the BMax website which for some strange reason turned to a OneDrive link whereas as it was a Baidu link yesterday.

I just tried it and it and it got me into the download area. The code for the Y13 is ‘H2M1’. If you do manage to fix the issue can you post some instruction back here please.

I really don’t think that this is the case because when I set the maximum performance in intel graphics plan in power options it doesn’t lower the clocks and also at high performance settings I don’t get even a second of clocks higher than 450 Mhz.
