The Atom Z8300 reviews might have stopped for now (I might check out the Hi10 Plus) but this week I’m waiting on the new Zenpad from ASUS, the Zenpad 3S 10 is a 9.7″ Retina Android 6.0 tablet. It’s powered by a MediaTek MT8176 (Hexa Core) 4GB of RAM with a 64GB eMMC for storage which can be expanded as it has a MicroSD slot.
An okay CPU, similar to the Snapdragon 650, but what interests me is it has premium metal build, fully laminated display, wireless AC, dual 5 magnet speakers, it’s only 5.8mm thin and weighing only 430 grams it’s super light and portable. And USB Type-C with Qualcomm quick charge 3.0 support, never seen that on a tablet. No more slow charging!
Priced at 360 euros it’s a good step up from the Chinese tablets I normally review and only single OS are its downsides I can see. That and ASUS normally chock their devices up with so much bloatware.
It also supports a stylus which is pressure sensitive up to 1024 levels. And is claimed to last for 150 hours the battery with pinpoint accuracy. The stylus will also arrive this week.
Of course, I’ll check it out in full detail once it arrives. Two mobiles are also due to arrive, more Snapdragon 821 units. The LeEco Le Pro 3 and Xiaomi’s Mi 5S Plus, the larger version of the Mi5S.
Does anyone really want to see the Chuwi Hi10 plus reviewed? Yes, it’s another Atom Z8300, but it has a 3:2 accept ratio screen and Remix OS 2.0 with Windows 10.

I bought a Hi10 Plus a week ago, I am loving it!

Good to hear, should have my one soon.

about the Chuwi H10 plus
I think it’s worth a test as least for their new claim: “upgraded to understand your needs”

Upgraded to understand our needs, haha. Sounds like a translation from Chinese to English gone wrong.

So the ASUS ZenPad 3S is better than the Galaxy Tab S2?
Chris G
Different tablets, the Samsung has a SAMOLED screen and this has IGZO retina screen. Both very good screens. The Samsung has a snapdragon 650 now and this a MediaTek hexa core very similar speeds. The ASUS has stylus support too.

@Chris: I’d love to see a review for the Hi10 Plus cause I’m thinkin of buying this tablet for my wife. The specs look really great (10,8” panel, 3:2 ratio, large battery etc.).

Hi 10 plus is the vi10 plus with more memory and dual os. till today a lot of vi10 plus are faulty out of the box (they freeze very often). You can check the chuwi forum and even here. I would be very cautious getting vi 10plus /hi 10 plus before chuwi confirms that there is a fix.
Chris G
Guess I’ll find out I order one to at least test it out, maybe a full review.
Chris G
I ordered one. So will have it in a week or so to check out.

Great news! I absolutely love your reviews.

wt no sim card slot and single os, don’t see y I should go 4 ds over chuwi hibook pro.there maybe no reason 4 comparison; but just bcos of chuwi I can dream of wasting money on ds
Pawel
it has the sd card slot. personally I don’t see single OS as a bad thing. it all depends what one want to do with the device.

I’m fine with just Android on a tablet like this one. But since we are now spoilt with so many dual OS 9.7″ tablets some come to expect that. Shame it doesn’t have a cool keyboard dock like the Tab S2 does. But I have a Logitech tablet BT keyboard that should do the trick. I don’t plan to do any heavy typing on it.

I saw this tablet in the local high tech store… it’s… a beauty. Any way to get it hooked up to a TV? I need to stream Eurosport for few months each year to look my favourite winter sports.

I was so close to getting a Galaxy Tab S2 when it just came out, kinda regret it but at the time was snowed under with the Chinese 9.7″‘s Looking forward to getting this one. Since it has no HDMI out it has to be via the Type-C port, but I’m not sure it supports it. The ZenFone 3 Ultra I reviewed did. Otherwise it will have to be via Mira cast or WiDi.
