Vido W12 Pro Core M3 and Vido W12 Atom Z8700

Vido is soon to release their first Core M tablet, featuring the new Core M3 6Y30 Skylake. It’s a 12.2″ 1920 x 1080 tablet with a keyboard/case style dock. It’s got 4GB of RAM, USB 3.0, USB 3.1 Type-C, Micro HDMI out, Wireless AC and that display while disappointing it’s not using a Samsung 2160 x 1440 screen is at least a fully laminated OGS one. The battery is 8000 mAh in size and is charged via a D/C 12v 2A charger.

There is also a cut-down Atom X7 Z8700 version that has the same build, screen, and keyboard called the Vido W12. This model also gets the cheaper, slower Wireless N only. Once I find out more on this model it will be updated here on the site. Price and release date etc. Thanks Daniel for the tip.

  1. Even a 16:10 ratio would have been good, but a 16:9 screen under 14inch is not that comfortable…never mind the “cucumber” shape of the tablet and the diminished capacity to make use of it in portrait mode.
