The Remix Tablet from Jide Tech if your unaware is a very promising looking Android tablet, that’s not just another Android tablet. It’s something very different, firstly it’s a Kickstarter backed project that’s from a new company formed by 3 ex-Google employees with years of experience between them.
Why it’s something new and refreshing is because unlike other Android run-of-the-mill tablets you get a very reminiscent Surface RT style tablet with an included full sized magnetic clip-on keyboard, a two stage kickstand and a new custom OS Android experience. The Remix has just started to ship out to it’s Kickstarter backers and my first impressions of the Remix are as follows:
- Well packed with premium packaging
- Quality throughout, both the build and the keyboard are excellent.
- The full HD touch panel is an OGS panel so no glass gaps, it’s bright with great view angles
- A kick stand is great to see on a tablet of this size and weight, more tablet designers should take not.
- My first impressions of the Remix OS are very positive, it has a nice look with a familiar Android look in some screens.
- Overall fell of the tablet is snappy and responsive. I’ll get into that in more depth soon.
Images of the Remix:
The Remix defiantly looks like a promising up and coming tablet for those that want to do more on thier tablet, like some serious typing, but don’t need or want a full Windows tablet. I’ll have more to come on this tablet in the following days. Benchmarks, gaming and more hands on clips. I’m just uploading now an unboxing and hands on video. If you have any questions on the Remix or something you want me to check since I have the tablet now, please let me know in the comments and I’ll try and answer you as best I can.
Many thanks to Jide Tech for sending me this review unit.

Looks great, wish I had been in on the kickstarter deals.
I think I like the modern MS style theme.
Looking forward to seeing benchmarks, interested to know its emmc storage performance and battery life.
Thanks!

This looks great for a Android tablet if it had dual boot for W it be amazing but since it’s running Tegra 4 not going to happen, would have like to see a model with Tegra X1.
