The computer should still be fine. You can try to replace the power supply. There may be a problem with the battery. This is the best advice I can give. Hope it helps you

do you have any pictures? it’s probably just the thermal paste hardening, you can try wriggling it a little and if it moves it should be safe to twist it and ‘force’ it off.

I have installed the WiFi driver from the F7 downloads section on the site which seems to have fixed it.  Maybe try the same and let me know if it fixes the problem…

Yeah, I think I’m going for the laptop mount but placing it upside down eventually. However for now, simply holding the laptop like a book in portrait mode in my lap seems to be a reasonably way of holding it for sketching purposes.
