Generally a nice tablet

Pros

  • Good screen resolution
  • Not too heavy
  • Speedy
  • Good sound
  • Great battery life
  • Relatively inexpensive

Cons

  • I have KitKat 4.4.4 (not dual boot) and it occasionally restarts due to a crash. I trust/hope some update will fix it in the future
  • No auto screen brightness, so I’ve had to download lux which uses the front facing camera to measure ambient light and adjust the screen brightness
  • Not sure how frequently Teclast will be updating ROM OTA, guess I will see.
  • Lack of a good case. I have purchased one on GeekBuying but it’s Chinese and opens the wrong way (like opening the back cover of a book). You can flip it around but effectively it’s upside down and the front facing camera is at the bottom right rather than top right. In addition, the cutout around the front facing camera is not quite centered, so covers the camera lens a little. I have yet to find a better case but hopefully one will appear at some point.
