Teclast Tbook 12 Pro 2-in-1 Dual OS 12.2 Inch Tablet

Teclast Tbook 12 Pro 2-in-1 Dual OS 12.2 Inch Tablet

Another new Teclast release, I spotted this on the new release devices listed on Gearbest. It looks just like a larger version of the Tbook 16 Pro but instead of 11.6″, it’s 12.2″ with a 1920 x 1200 16:10 aspect ratio screen. Teclast claim the thinnest edge of the tablet is just 4mm, and it has thin bezels. Here’s hoping that’s true as the Tbook 16S I’m currently reviewing doesn’t exactly have the slimmest of bezels.

It also has a metal transformer style keyboard dock with two USB 2.0 ports. So the designs are improving, no denying that. But yet again, another Atom X5 Z8300 with 4GB of DDR3 RAM. I’ve given up all hope to see at least another Z8550 tablet? Maybe at the end of the year Shenzhen will start to manufacture some units with the refreshed Atom Z8X50’s before they disappear mid next year. (The Atom line has been discontinued, but Intel is still producing them) The Apollo Lake will replace it, but cost around much more.

The Teclast 12 Pro is listed here.

  1. mine was good until the screen went on it after 3 weeks and the battery expanded . got a refund through paypal as i wouldn’t/couldn’t send it back to china for safety reasons .

    screen surprisingly sharp and bright
    battery life was ok

  2. Anyone have this tablet ? Any feedback after some time using it? Strangely I can’t fin a single review of it.

  3. Recently received my Tbook 12 Pro. I’m liking it alot, after my ASUS T100T 10.1″ tablet, I also wanted a Windows/Android hybrid. Great screen size. It’s a tad heavier than I expected. Purchased it with the docking keyboard. Keep in mind if you order from gearbest, order it with the AC adapter (5v 2.5A) as it does not come with it.

    • *hit send too early. My only issues are battery charging (doesn’t reach 100%) and in Android mode, the webcam is not functional.

  4. At Geekbuying it’s $339 with the keyboard, how’s that?

  5. Any chance you will be reviewing one of these on your YouTube channel? Also can you recommend one duel boot tablet over all the others, they all seem to have the same specs but don’t know if hardware design is relatively the same.

    • Hi, I canceled my order of this one as it’s just like the Tbook 16 Pro. I’m now looking forward to the Tbook 16 Power when released, 8GB Atom X7 Z8750. Something different for a change.

      • I am very confused! Teclast Tbook 12 or Chuwi Hi12 ? (Tbook 16 has a 11.6 screen and I not prefer this format). Or I simply cancel my order and wait for Chuwi Apollo 13.3

  6. Now that my Note 10.1 has died I really want a dual OS tablet. I was deciding between the Chuwi Hi12 and the Chuwi Hibook Pro but this is the spanner in the works. Fro what I see it has the best of both. Not sure how the screens will compare but the OGS screen is tempting. Any thoughts will be appreciated. Can’t wait to see the reviews of this one though.

  7. It seems the TBook 12 Pro comes with GPS whereas TBook 16 Pro doesn’t.

  8. On Gearbest at $306.99

    • Ouch, I don’t think it will be that much when released otherwise I doubt it will sell.

  9. What do you reckon the damage is on this one as there is no price on the website
