After a good series of rumors and leaks in the past days, Taiwan based tech giant ASUS decided to release an official teaser for the upcoming ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2.
The handset was indeed showed off in an hands-on video review, before getting taken down later on. In the video the Max Pro M2 appeared with its dual rear camera setup and no sign of a third camera which was previously rumored to have.
The rest of the hardware was confirmed though, including the 6-inch IPS 19:9 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection and a notch at the top, meanwhile inside we will find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC along with 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and a big 5000mAh capacity battery to power the phone up.
Back to the camera setup, albeit ASUS Indonesia’s Twitter account somewhat tried to make it look like the handset will pack three shooters (image above), the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 will actually only pack two of 12MP (a Sony IMX1486 with f/1.8 aperture) and 5MP (to capture depth data) accompanied by an LED flash. At the front, we’ll instead find a 13MP f/2.0 selfie snapper with a soft light LED flash nearby.
As the teaser suggests, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 will be announced on December 11th, hopefully with a very appealing price tag.
